Actually it would be festival mood in those times all collge would be decorated& every students would interact and enjoy the moment.
I like our teacher and faculty compared to other colleges we have better facilities and faculty.
The curriculum has improved this year and i should say it enables us to be more efficient.

Dislikes

Hostels - Worst hostels I have ever stayed in. Leaking ceilings, Unusable washrooms, Poor lighting, Virtually no space for studying, Overcrowding are some of the problems to say the least.
There are 3 lifts in college and most of the times all three never works together either of them gets damaged.
Infrastructure - For a medical college, the infrastructure is below par with outdated technologies, Old paintjobs etc

REVIEW ON GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE KANNUR

Likes

Campus infrastructure along with its nature. Proffesors and student union. Lab facilities
I also like the food in the hostel. Food staions outside and close to hostels . Hill stations are there nearby.
The programmes and events conducted. Hospital facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is a course which will enlighten you in various ways. We will have to perform a lot of activities apart from theory sessions. This includes verbal activites also which improves our communication skills which is very much essential for a doctor. You will also have outdoor activites where you can meet a lot of people through camps

Atmosphere with greenery, cool and cozy environment, clean hostel (a block)
A good library with newly published books and journals
Caring teachers and staffs , are always my favourite

Dislikes

Kind of ragging i experienced was very minimum and funny but sometimes i felt annoyed
Hostel infrastructure is poor including poor water supply
Located in a rural area, no easy access to shopping malls

Course Curriculum Overview:

From out batch onwards, the curriculum followed is CBME, which is competency based medical education. This will help in covering the huge syllabus within a limited time. Exams are challenging as they had to be completed in 3 hrs . However with practise it can be made easy to approach kuhs exams. From 2023 onwards, mcq s are included for 20 marks, which saved a lot of time

Likes

Faculties are very good. They are really supportive
We have got a big play ground. Were we can play football. Also it is associated with synthetic track
Library facilites are really good . There is central library with many resources

Dislikes

Hostels could be improved. Amenities can be increased
Street lights are not working properly. So it is scary to out durung night
Campus is open. So there is outsiders also, so privacy wise there is little shortage

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our batch is the 2nd to follow the new curriculum lauched by NMC named as the CBME. It has many pros like several hrs of sgd, sdl etc are to be conducted, v get the clinical exposure from the very second year. The main pros is ELECTIVES posting, whcih is very beneficial to the students. Cons include we have got lots of log books to be completed within an academic year which is very time consuming.

Likes

Most faculties are supportive and understanding
Good architectural structure of the hospital and academic blocks.
All departments are properly functioning

Dislikes

Lack of Extracurricular activities compared to other places.
Secluded area from the city. Most amenities not easily accessible
Hostels very poorly maintained. No proper accommodation facilities for interns

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS was my dream course like many medical aspirants. The faculties are very knowledgeable and support you very well. There are enough faculties in almost every department. All exams were conducted on time and internal exams were viewed very strictly for sentups. Exams are of moderate difficulty.
