As a first year student I don't know a lot about the internships going on , but I know a friend of mine which is actually going to get a paid internship via college to usa ..it's a one year internship .

Your course your skill and your abilities will decide what the companies will offer you but they will normally not put you into an active role straight away. The stipend is pretty low and can be as low as 15000 rupees per month and can go all the way up to 45000 rupees depending upon which company hires you.
