SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Fees at SXC Kolkata for Computer Science is the highest. The fees is 1,60,000 a year and since it's a four years course the total fees is around 6.5 lakhs. So with a course fees of 6.5 lakhs we get one of the best arcularing college and the one that provide good placements too. Scholarships are linked with merit and caste students as the ones like me who are in general category and doesn't have top merit don't get any scholarship.

Excessive examinations conducted very frequently.
The day batch does not have consecutive classes and so multiple gaps in between stretch the day. It overall becomes very exhausting.

The fees per semester needs to be paid in 2 installments. The first installment of first semester is to be paid at the time of admission and is about 66800 rupees and the second installment is 35100 rupees. Every month exceeding the last date of fee payment induces a 300 rupee fine. This payment includes everything like admission, library, exams, etc. Certain scolarships are also available. There will probably not be a significant increment of fees in recent years.

My experience at St. Xavier's

For my course, i am having to pay ?35,000 every 3 months which means i am having to pay ?1,40,000 every year. I am from the general category. I am unfortunately unaware about the fees that my classmates from other categories pay. The course offers me air conditioned classrooms, a fool-proof sound system, a screen to help show movies and labs with cameras, editing tools and sound systems so i would say it is worth it.

The fees varies with your choice of subject. The total tuition fee for every year is around 30000. There are a number of scholarships and financial aid opportunities available on both a need and merit based basis, the details of which can be found in the college website.

Students are required to pay an application fees of Rs.1000. Upon admission they are to pay an admission fees of Rs.37,900 which is also the first instalment fees for the first semester. The second instalment being Rs.12,600. During the second semester, the students are required to pay in two instalments-- Rs. 13,900 and Rs.11,400 respectively.

Review of St. Xavier's College, Kolkata from the perspective of a first year student

The course structure is updated and relevant to today's world. It includes multidisciplinary courses that prepare the students and equip them with skills that help in professional endeavours.

The year is divided into 2 semesters for which the fees are to be paid in 2 installments each. The fees for the first year comes up to 80000. It includes an initial admission fees which is the 1st installment fees (39000) and a 2nd installment fee of 12000 for the first semester. Similarly, there are 1st (17000) and 2nd (11000) installment fees for the second semester. My course duration is 4 years and would cost around 2,40,000. Fees may be revised maximum by 10% each year. There are multiple need based scholarships available. The compulsory charges for lab and so on are included in the installment fees.

SXC:- Are NIRF Rankings Speaking the Same Story as the Campus?

My day batch has classes from 10:10 to 3 pm or 4 pm on half the days making it really difficult for me to devote time to other activities or attend physical internships
Strict attendance policy (below 75% per class student gets debarred from writing papers)
I wish statistics had been included within our economics syllabus a bit earlier than teaching it from second year onwards full fledgedly. I believe computer softwares relating to data analysis should be a part of our course in each semester.

The fees is payable in instalments collected before the mid semester and end semester examinations. My fees as a day batch student is Rs 85000 (rounded off) In my understanding, SXC fee structure is one of the cheapest among private colleges. The BCom Evening batch for instance is more expensive than the BCom Morning batch which is subsidized as SXC is a minority institution. Financial aid is available in the form of scholarships. A scholarship portal exists where students can enter their credentials and apply for scholarships.

A short review of my college

Class schedules are not so heptic and manageable.

Every year we've to pay roughly about ?60,000. We've to pay this in 4 installment, roughly ?15,000 in every 4 month. In every installment there is ?1,500 tution fees, ?4,800 development fees and ?4,800 additional fee compulsory. But in some installments there is additional lab fees of ?1,700 and exam fees of ?2000. And if we fail to pay the fees in time college charges ?300 fine per month. Also when I first took admission I paid ?40,000 total as first installment and then the rest 3 installments were as usual. And college provides scholarships but I don't have much idea about this.

Inside review of St. Xavier's college kolkata(Autonomous)

The addmission fees for my course was approximately 40000 and the semester fees are around 30000. So the first year fees was around 1 lakh for my course. But from the second year I have to pay around 50000 per year. There is obviously scholarship options based on your family background and your results also. I don't think there is any difference in fees in different categories. 5000 is given if you top in the examination and there is another scholarship or discount in fees if your family income is low.

The fee amount is little high. about other departments I don't know but microbiology department fees is little high.yes the college provide scholarship and I have got one and we have to pay if our attendance comes under 75
