St Andrew’s Mumbai Admission 2025 FAQs

Ques. Can students apply under the minority or special quota?

Ans. Yes. As a Catholic minority institution, St. Andrew's keeps a share of its seats for Christian students, especially from the Roman Catholic community. Shortlisted students should indicate their religious background on the form and provide suitable evidence (such as a baptism certificate). Shortlisted students from economically weaker sections, sports quota, and physically challenged students can also apply under special schemes, depending on the availability of seats and document verification.

Ques. Does the college offer guidance for studying abroad?

Ans. Yes, international education students can get advice from the Foreign Education Cell. It provides assistance with SOPs, LORs, test preparation guidance (GRE/IELTS), and gets students in touch with alumni studying abroad. The cell also conducts webinars with foreign institutions.

Ques. Are creative expression opportunities available?

Ans. Yes, the college organizes several cultural events like St. Andrew's Fest every year, drama competitions, open mics, and so on. There are clubs for music, dance, media, or writing available for students to join. These are where students get to exhibit talent and quite often result in external intercollegiate recognition and individual development.

Ques. Are admissions first-come-first-served?

Ans. No, strictly merit-based admissions. After releasing a merit list, the short-listed students are required to confirm their seat by paying fees within a deadline. Taking action late can lead to losing the seat to the subsequent student on the list.

I applied for a variety of College, including the KC College as well as the Ruia College. I couldn't land there because of the shortage of percentage in my SSC exam. However, I did not plan changing my college in the degree, because I was already comfortable in this. College has significant prose as compared to other colleges in the area. Although although the college might see less in physical space, compared to the Rizvi college, it fulfil this negative with the quality of staff and crowd. The college admission basically takes place through the centralised administration process of the Maharashtra board. The degree college admissions happened with CET and other admission examinations. There also exist a management quota where one can be admitted through donations. There is ample of seat available in various courses.

Admission:

I chose St. Andrew’s College of Hotel Management because it offered a great balance of quality education, affordable fees, and excellent placement opportunities. Compared to other colleges like IHM Mumbai and WGSHA Manipal, which have high cutoffs and intense competition, St. Andrew’s had a more accessible admission process. It also provided modern infrastructure and proximity to home in Pune, which was a big advantage. Although I was rejected by IHM Mumbai and WGSHA due to tough cutoffs and limited seats, St. Andrew’s turned out to be the perfect fit. The admission process included an entrance test, Class 12 merit, and a personal interview, with reasonable cutoffs ensuring accessibility. Overall, St. Andrew’s offers a well-rounded curriculum, practical learning opportunities, and strong industry connections, making it an excellent choice for my hospitality career.

I wanted my combination to English and Psychology, which I got it, in St. Andrews. The admission process is quite straightforward. There are no eligibility exam. The admission solely depends upon the 12th marks. There are provisions for the minorities, sports category and ST AND SC groups.

Admission:

I applied here at the time of Covid and this was the first college I got in. I did not wait for other college lists and just enrolled in this one because everything was affected during Covid and we had no idea what would happen next. I continued in this college simply because I was used to it and didn't want to bother going to a new place. The admission process is quite easy I would say. Eligibility critera as a general category would require you to score above 80% in your boards to get into the first and second list. For my course there is no entrance, most courses in the college are merit based. Admission proxess went by smoothly for me, you just have to go in for verification once and everything else is pretty much online.
