Shivaji College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The University offers good placements depending on the student's activity and productivity. The student has to be highly active and should learn atleast 2-3 skills in addition to the course which he/she is studying in order to get placement. Employment plans after this course: appear for GATE, IITJAM, TIFR, ICER, CUET PG, AIIMS etc for higher studies in microbiology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, forensic science, applied chemistry, drugs and narcotics, zoology, botany, taxonomy, molecular biology etc. You will also be eligible for government exams like SSC CGL, SSC CPO, RRB, RRB (Bank), -CSE, CDS, AFCAT etc.

I think bcom honrs is not much worthy according to my perspective. As it based theoretically I'm field of commerce a student should be more practical like In communication and the field they are pursuing. Other courses like bma bfa can be opt.. And as of today generation skills are more important than degree bcom honrs take your time your focus which can be used to learn skills.

In the third year there will be a placement fest conducted by placement cell of shivaji College .There will companies like wayspire,unstop, stack edutech,bajaj capital,etc.The package will be starts from 2 lakhs to the most 22 lakhs ( this was the highest package ever provided). Most students going for higher studies as like me.

The course I am pursuing is overall a satisfying course but the thing is that students are not getting any practical knowledge from it all they are doing is just talking in english and learning about english culture and English society and just learning stories and communication skills and communication skills are good to learn and imprehend but on the other side learning English is not only sufficient from graduation the difficulty level is not so relevant to do so the difficulty level should be increased so that students start taking it seriously otherwise I don't think they the course I am pursuing is so much valuable...

The education of arts , science ,and commerce are very well but the other opportunities like in sports field college should give students opportunity to come in the sports field and the other extracurricular activities should be enhanced by the college.

In the whole Delhi University the same curriculum is followed for each course the course that I have opted is Bachelor of Commerce and it is a pretty good course actually which revolves around every aspect of commerce including accounts Human resource etc this course is also same for the students of the top colleges like Sriram College of Commerce and is also the same for the lowest ranking college of you so it is a well curated curriculum that is followed by each college according to me on the personal experience level the practical knowledge should be more in the course except and with the theoretical knowledge that is provided to us rather than being a book bug One should also get some practical knowledge like some softwares or some tours around companies or something like that

Previously cbcs pattern was followed but now NEP ( new education policy) pattern is being followed. There are lot of societies also which gives opportunities to students to participate in various co-curricular activities. The exams are held after every 6 months and the level of exam is good ( moderate).

I am persuing Ca course so bcom and their syllabus are familiar that is why i opted for this course The teaching method are very traditional as everything is taught on black board No smart boards etc is there Timmings of exam is 3 hours Its of 90 marks Difficulty is moderate

The student are eligible to participate in campus placement from sem 1 only, but there are not frequent campus placements in the college. The companies do come in the college and offer average placement offers. The highest package in our college is 9L and average is 4.5L.

The college offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across different streams, even add-on certificate and diploma are also offered by the college. Teaching method is good, provides lectures laboratory work, tutorials, seminars and workshops. The timing of exams is quite drastic because we have to give exams in extreme hot and extreme cold weather.
