Faculty,our college faculty was very good ,all teacher are very supportive. encourage student to do study with extra curricular activities
Sbsc provides one of the best placements in delhi university with known companies such as deloitte tcs and others
The fee structure for a family who has parents having mid-range salaries is pretty great, compared to private universities, the fee structure is amazing, and there are several scholarship opportunities for students from all courses.

Dislikes

Faculty in truth is not that great they are not making that much effort in teaching us, especially our accounts teacher is awfully bad at teaching.
The class size is quite huge with poor student teacher ratio
Course curriculum was very hard because we have to learn new subjects vac, sec, and aec with my core subjects.

How is the experience of a 1st year student of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, DU?

I liked the hardwork and sincerity that every faculties, other staffs and our principal has. Our principal sir is very disciplined and makes sure that everyone in the college is also disciplined and doing their duty sincerely.
Societies are very active, if you join good societies you'll definitely learn alot, you'll definitely gain alot of experiences and it'll definitely enhance your skills and personality.
The teachers are very interactive and approachable, which one of the most important thing and impressive thing about our college.

Dislikes

The infrastructure and area of the college is average or may be below average.
There is strict minimum attendance rule, if you don't fulfill the requirements i.e 67% attendance then you'll get detained in your subjects accordingly, students with less than 10% attendance are detained in all subjects.
There's no proper fest, because our principal highly discourage such thing as fests and he never allow the students to play Bollywood songs in any function in the college, though we do organise cultural fest where Bollywood songs are banned.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good enough, the Highest package in the year 2023 was 20+ LPA and lowest package was around 4LPA and the average was 5LPA, 90+% of students taking part in the placement program get placed. I'm planning to prepare for CAT after.

placements just like in any other college can be bagged when you have technical expertise as both college and corporate world are way to different.
other than living expense College fees is not on the higher side as being a government college so we can say it is value for money.

Dislikes

college administration is bad and very rude.
Principal is very strict about the attendance.
College lack diversity as majority of students are from Delhi and up

Placement Experience:

the placement scenarios starts in the 5th semester. many MNCs visit the college and the most placed students are from b.com and b.com honours. I don't know about the other courses but I don't think they get many opportunities in college placement. average placement for b.com and BCom is around 5 lakh. the highest package ever offered was around 20 lakh as mentioned in college website.

Likes

The society culture in the college and the facilities near the campus
The fast rate of infrastructural development in the college
The crowd of the college is also very nice since it's in south delhi

Dislikes

Maybe if it gave internship opportunities as well it would've been better
Also the placements are not too good, it's good enough for people who are opting from 3rd party placements

Students entering 5th semester become eligible for placements, and the companies coming for campus placement include the big 4 i.e Deloitte, PW, EY, KPMG etc. the average placement goes anywhere around 7 to 10 LPA. And students are very much allowed to sit in campus placements as well as sit for third party placements through agencies.

Qualification of faculty members if very high and modern
College campus is very good and have a soothing environment
Event organization is one of the best thing of Delhi University

Dislikes

University administration is very slow and unorganised
College administration is not good and very harsh towards students.
Admission process is very confusing and difficult

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for the campus placement from second semester. many reputed companies like HCL, Deloitte, ICICI BANK,etc provide placement offers and an average package of placement is 30000 per month.Almost 20% to 30% students get placement every year

New smart classrooms contain smart board ,cctv mic and speakers
Library is also good , library have more than 45000 books academic books as well as non academic books

Dislikes

Attendance criteria, you have to maintain at least 66.66 attendance

Placement Experience:

This college provides placement and the highest package is 280000 , average is 60000 and lowest is 40000 Students needed to maintain minimum 6.5 + CGPA for take part in placements Also the college placement cell is very active

The college has a lot of open spaces that helped in connecting with nature
The crowd and the opportunity to explore oneself through different society
The college has very supportive teachers

Dislikes

A lot of approvals to ask for changes in basic things
There were very few working water dispensary
The crowd was very mix and election management was very poor

Students become eligible for placement in the 5 semester. Many MNCs visit the college and try their luck in finding the best resource for them. Some MNCs are Genpact, Accenture and Wipro. The hightest package ranges upto 7 LPA and average goes to 4 LPA. Around 75% students get the placements.

I liked that the faculty is well educated .
The infrastructure is also very good of the college.
The library is also very good with latest books.

Dislikes

Rigid rules regarding attendance has been a problem lately.
Some of the teachers not being so good as others and treat students like school ones.
The canteen food I personally believe should be cheaper.

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible for campus placements from 3 rd year in my college. The placements are also very decent and been increasing recently . The average placements as of now last checked by me was 7 LPA. The companies visiting in my college are generally the big 4 and several others.

Likes

Infrastructure and faculty are top notch
Crowd is very diverse and push each other to score good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am pursuing bcom h and I feel the course is very relevant. I would rate it 8/10. Management and accounting were the aspects of the curriculum which influenced my decision to opt for this course. Tally part of accounts is an example of the curriculum which helps us to prepare for the real world. Teaching methods can be improved if subjects are taught in a more practical way. I feel the frequency of exams is apt at present but difficulty level of a few subjects can be eased out a bit which should be considered.

There are alot of good societies in the college which provides exposure.
The college is situated in a very good location and has proper connectivity.
College infrastructure is constantly being improved.

Dislikes

College campus is quite small when compared to other colleges.
Something or the other is under construction.
The college does not have an auditorium.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college are fine. Average package ranges around 4-5 lakhs which is a good number when compared to other universities and colleges. Still, there is alot of scope for improvement as not diverse job profiles are offered and many prestigious companies don't even recruit from the college.

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies(SSCBS) is a well-known college for business studies. The college offers various advanced courses such as management studies, cybersecurity, and computer science.

The college has been ranked in the 2nd position by “India Today” in the list of best BBA courses offered by the various colleges. Here are a few more facts about SSCBS.

Courses:

The college offers eight courses related to business management, marketing, and science streams.
These include BMS, BBA, Fintech, PGDCSL, Digital Marketing, National Stock Exchange Certified Capital Market professional, Data Analytics for Business, and B.Sc(computer science).

Eligibility:

For Business Management Studies (BMS) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), the students should qualify 10+2 with a total of 50% aggregate. The course duration is 3 years.
Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Law(PGDCSL) course is only for a year. The students should hold either graduation or post-graduation certificates to take this course.
