PSGCAS M.Sc Biotechnology: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The college maintains a favorable faculty-student relationship with a ratio of 9:10, which encourages a supportive learning environment. Students face two relatively easy exams, CA 1 and CA 2, before semester exams, resulting in a high pass rate with just 1-2% failing. Faculty expertise varies across departments, with some teaching methods being harder to grasp. Placement opportunities are provided for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Undergraduate placements start in the third year, fifth semester, with initial training, while postgraduate placements begin in the final year.

The Biotechnology program fees are divided into Aided and Self-Financed (SF) categories. Aided students pay INR 40,000 per semester, whereas SF students pay INR 57,000, totaling INR 1,04,000 annually. This fee structure includes all charges except lab fees. Scholarships are available for students whose family income is below INR 70,000, and additional scholarships support specific categories like SC/ST students. Hostel fees, paid annually and structured over six months, are separate from tuition fees.
