PAU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

During last semester students become eligible for placements. Companies visited are Relaince, HDFC BANK, Swiggy, Godrej foods ltd. and many more. Avg package is around 6-7 lakhs per annum. students max dont go for placements they rather go for masters degree. My plans are to become an entrepreneur.

As we konw horticulture & forestry are the two fields which generates more income compare to other agriculture activities. As time to time workshops are conducted related to trending topics in the every university.( skill development, Cv prepration etcs. since i am also the 3rd year student well university provides/ feels different vibe when other people just speak achievements of your university. the improvement in curriculum should be done on the basis of requirements of students.

Agriculture as a subject is very vast & every semester you have around 10-12 courses & its a bit hectic. Syllabus is too much sometimes. But the whole course curriculum that is followed is as per ICAR so university specifically doesn't play any part there , so can't blame them.

I am a nature loving person so I choose this university PAU to do BSc agriculture as it is very growing sector curriculum is very nice and good so I suggest my friends to do this as well . the difficulty level of curriculum is a average or we can say more than average overall our course is too good

Curriculum touches all the aspects academics, sports, culture everything making a person more confident in every field and giving opportunities in different fields Talking about the exam patterns, the exams are set from the syllabus which is taught thorougly throughout the semester along with practical knowledge making students better at the understanding of the things theoratically and practically as well

Placement is provided at the end of degree when the degree is completed Placements are very limited salary is also very low Low number of students are getting placed Job facilities are not good by placement cell

Major reason to choose course was as punjab is agricultural state so I wanted to pursue for same but with more diversified field that is still not very popular as cultivation of fruits vegetables flowers and agroforestry so that a broad spectrum can be covered

This course have very much scope in future as it heps to become an entrepreneur and in foreign countries demand of this field is high. As now a days people are becoming health conscious so they eat fruits and vegetables and my course is fully related with the production of fruits and vegetables.

Courses are generally classifies as credit hours 2+1 incudes 2 theory and one practical class per week . There are 3+1 and 1+1 and 1 creadit hour courses also . On average 9 courses per sem . Passing marks 55% of each course . Exams are cery frequent hourls 20 marks with full half weightage starts at 5 th week from new sem , mid semetsers , practicals , end terms of 70 marks with half weightage . Impresssive teaching methods . Smart class rooms and well equiped practical classes

Students become eligible after 6th sem for placements Various agribusiness companies offers jobs and moreover plenty of govt jobs Highest package as per my knowledge is around 1cr Almost 100% placements are their I'll be focusing on entrepreneurship
