UIIT Shimla Scholarship 2025: Amount, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

UIIT offers several scholarship opportunities and fee waivers to students based on merit and financial need. Annually, five students receive full tuition fee waivers valued at Rs 30,000 per semester. These waivers are awarded to two girls with the highest 12th-grade scores and three students facing financial challenges or belonging to the IRDP category. Additionally, scholarships are available for meritorious students scoring above 90% in their 12th-grade exams, including complete tuition fee waivers.

Specifically, four scholarships per class are granted: two for economically weaker sections and two for meritorious girls. There are also half tuition fee waivers for single girl children and faculty children. The annual tuition fee is approximately Rs 120,000, with the total cost of a four-year degree ranging from Rs 4.5 to Rs 5 lakhs. While the college does not directly provide loan facilities, students can seek loans from banks, often in coordination with the college.

Other scholarships, such as the NSP and those from private NGOs, are available to students.

You will be paying 60000 per semesters which in total of a year will be 1 lakh approximate. You have to get your own books or can be borrowed from library no others charges will be charged other than the regualar fees Yes there is examination fees for exams that will be 2000. UIT my way

The anual fees ia around 1 lakh. Odd semester fees is 60000 and even semester fees is 40000 . With 1st semester exception fees as 73000 . There are fee waviers to single girl childs, handicap children, SC/ST candidates.

Short Visit of UIT

Tution fee is really high as compared to facilities but yet it is normal as compared to other private colleges.students can avail various scholarships from NSP and private NGO's. There is examination fees which is extra from semester fees.

UIT , worth to take addmission

Fee structure for the engineering is common among UIT , NIT and IIT. All over cost of education for four years will go around 4.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs only as the fees. Further there are several needs of a student which makes the cost a little bit higher.

Student Snaps:

Tution fee does not increase by that much amount. It just feels that it's high considering it's a government institute. The complete cost sits under 5 lakh rupees There are only government scholarships available such as meritorious girl child, faculty child etc. There are no campus employment.

College life is best

• Tuition fees are higher in our college per semester one semester can Rs.65,000 per semester and the regularity of teachers are very regular. • The complete cost of education including tuition fees and other compulsory charges is 1 lakh per sem. •The scholarships are for the students who can gain 90%of marks in the 12th class single girl children also gain the scholarship and handicapped students can get scholarships. Campus employment I have undertaken, including job roles, responsibility, and a stipend of 1,000 can awarded.

College annual fees are around 120000 and it's pretty high comparing it with other government colleges but was the only college providing IT was a necessity. There are many scholarships provided for merit girls and for other children

Want to be in UIT

The fee price is 445000 but you have to go with PG or Room and some of your other expenses will cost u around 8500 per month at least, but if you got a scholarship through nsp or the university then this place is not too bad.

My University full of Opportunites

The fees are quite good it is just 60k per semester. Fees hikes are quite less and rare if it happens it is just about 5-7%. And spending money in this college is worth it because of the facility and faculty at their best.
