UIET Kurukshetra offers a supportive learning environment with approachable faculty and maintains a reasonable faculty-to-student ratio. Exams are moderately difficult, with two sessionals and one final per semester, though the strict marking can lead to reappearances. Students can begin participating in campus placements from their fourth semester, with notable companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Adani Group recruiting graduates. In 2023, the highest package for B.Tech. CSE was INR 20 lakhs, and the average salary was INR 4.20 lakhs.
Infosys offered starting packages at 3.25 LPA, Adani at 4.5 LPA, and Wipro at 3.25 LPA. Many alumni have successfully started their own businesses. The annual fee for first-year students is Rs 86,000, with specific semester-wise fees: 1st semester - Rs 45,420, 2nd semester - Rs 41,500, and Rs 39,500 each for the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th semesters. The 5th semester fee is Rs 36,500. Students from various categories, including General, BC-A, BC-B, EWS, and SC, pay Rs 45,420 for the 1st semester.
The Tuition Fee Waiver scheme allows a reduced yearly fee of Rs 31,920. Children of Kurukshetra University employees pay reduced fees, and SC students with a family income under Rs 2.5 lakh have fees covered by government scholarships. UIET Kurukshetra currently does not offer its own scholarships.
