PIET B.Tech Lateral CSE Fees

The B.Tech Lateral Entry (CSE) programme at PIET has a straightforward fee structure with an annual fee of Rs. 1,80,000, which includes tuition fees of Rs. 1,36,000 and other charges of Rs. 44,000 per year. Over the 3-year programme duration, the total fees amount to Rs. 5,40,000. PIET B.Tech Lateral CSE Admission 2026

Admission to B.Tech Lateral Entry (CSE) at PIET is conducted through HSTES (Haryana State Technical Education Society) via the OCET (Online Common Entrance Test). For 2025, the process was completed between June and August 2025. For the 2026-27 session, the schedule is expected to follow a similar timeline. Candidates must register on the HSTES portal, appear for OCET, and participate in centralised online counselling for seat allotment. 75% of seats are filled through HSTES counselling and 25% through institute-level management quota.

Passed minimum 3-year / 2-year (Lateral Entry) Diploma in any branch of Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates).
OR passed B.Sc Degree from a recognised university with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) and passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject.
OR passed B.Voc / 3-year D.Voc in the same or allied sector.
Kashmiri Migrants (KM) are eligible for up to 10% relaxation in cut-off percentage, subject to minimum eligibility.

Admission Process

Register on the HSTES portal (www.techadmissionshry.gov.in) and pay the registration fee (Rs. 1,000 for General; Rs. 700 for reserved categories).
Download admit card and appear for OCET at designated centres.

Fill and lock choices during online centralised counselling.

PIET offers a comprehensive range of institutional scholarships for all programmes including B.Tech Lateral Entry.
