Maharashtra State Candidates:
The candidate should be an Indian national and should have passed Bachelor’s / Masters’ Degree in the following subjects – Science, Maths, Social Sciences (History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Philosophy, Education, Library Science), Humanity Sciences (Languages and Literature) / Commerce – with minimum 50% (49.50% to 49.99%) for Open category and 45% (44.50% – 44.99%) for Reserved category (subject to producing caste certificate).
OR
The candidate should be an Indian national and should have passed a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in the following subjects – Engineering and Technology (with science and maths as special subjects), Bachelor’s Degree in – Management,Engineering, Computers, Law, IT, Agriculture, B.B.I., Medical Science, Fine Arts, Performing Arts – (Music, Dance, Drama) with minimum 55% (54.50% – 54.99%) and 50% (49.50% – 49.99%) for Reserved category (subject to producing caste certificate)
Candidates from the Other States:
A) The candidate should be an Indian national and should have passed any Bachelor's / Master’s degree awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the Central or State legislature or declared to be Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Govt of India / NCTE with minimum 55% marks for all categories.
