Maharishi Valmiki College of Education offers admission to B.Ed course for students who want to pursue their career in teaching. The students have a variety of subjects to choose from including subjects Science, Social Science Humanities and other languages.

  • For being eligible, the students should have completed Bachelors or Masters Degree from any recognized college.s
  • The selection is made through an online entrance exam conducted by the Delhi University (DU). Admission is granted on the basis of rank obtained by the students.
  • The entrance exam is a MCQ based exam divided into three sections.

Established in 1995, it is one of the most popular colleges for B.Ed in Delhi. It is affiliated to the Delhi University (DU) and has been approved by UGC (University Grants Commission) and accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). MVCE was inaugurated by Shri Madan Lal Khurana, the then Chief Minister of Delhi and since then it strives to provide quality teachers and researchers to the society.

Maharishi Valmiki College of Education B.Ed Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have completed Bachelors or Masters Degree in Science, Social Science, Humanities, Commerce or any other equivalent stream from any recognized University.
  • They should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in general (45% marks for OBC and mere passing marks for SC/ST) and 55% aggregate marks if they have done B.E. /B.Tech.

  • The candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in the DU B.Ed entrance exam conducted by the Delhi University for admission into B.Ed courses.
  • Final selection is based on the rank obtained in the entrance exam and verification of documents.

How to Apply for Maharishi Valmiki College of Education?

The students for taking admission into Maharishi Valmiki College of Education have to appear for DU B.Ed entrance exam. The steps to apply for the exam are:

  • The candidates should resister themselves on the official website of Delhi university (www.cie.du.ac.in).
  • Then they should download the prospectus and apply online by filling the required details in the application form such as personal, educational details.
  • The students have to pay application fees of INR 450 either through online mode (Credit/ Debit card or net banking) or offline mode (Challan at any SBI branch).
  • The entrance exam is an online objective type exam of 400 marks. The syllabus includes General awareness, Subject knowledge and Language proficiency (English or Hindi).

After the exam, the University releases a merit list and students are selected on the basis of the rank obtained by them. They have to appear for counseling and submit the self attested copies of the following documents:

  • Class X Marks Sheet
  • Class XII Marks Sheet
  • Character Certificate (recent)
  • SC / ST Certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable).
  • Three passport size photographs
  • Aadhar card

Maharishi Valmiki College of Education Scholarships

Ans. Yes there is negative marking in the exam. As per the marking scheme, 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
