- Library is good.It has many books. Ans there so standard collection that we usually don't afford or don't have any pdf copies online are also available.
- Faculty is extraordinary. All of the members of SMU are working statisticians and Mathematics.
- Even tough the campus not too big. It is really beautiful.
Dislikes
- I think the admin block is little negligible. They don't respond to your queries immediately.
- This one so causual. You might feel uncomfortable with food. It is tough for vegetarian, but you could survive.
- I am sports person and ISI ground is too small .
Internships Opportunities:
I will found many companies are opening for internships like goldman sacks, JP morgan, morgan stanley etc. regarding this you have any opportunituies in ISI. They are plenty opportunities. You should not worry a lot about it.

- less cultural fests are there in our college
- no hostels are provided in campus, need to rent pg

many companie come for placments here at isi kolkata. recently one of our senior got an intern at pw ( physics wallah) . One needs to maintain good academic performance to get intern. Many projects are there

Internships Opportunities:
The intership packages or stipend are from 1 lakh per month to as high as 2.5 lakh in good tech companies. Other students pursue research internship in labs of professors in the institute of in IITs, NITs , IISERs or Niser .

- Gender ratio is quite terrific compared to other colleges

The internship offers are quite great. This year for summer internships the highest stipend was 2.5 Lakhs per month and the average was around 1 lakh per month . People do internships in industry and in labs of different institutions of national importance as well like IITs , IISERs , CMI , NISER etc.

i am in my 1st year hence not eleigible for internships but mostly the students work under the faculties on many research projects and open problems. students also get quite good stipend as well for their work.

- The professors here are excellent and fabulous at teaching.
- The library here is too big and it contains a wide variety of books.
- The campus is full of greenery and lots of ponds.
Dislikes
- Most ofthe students are indulged in smoking.
- Lots of formal processes are there to avail anything.
- There is negligible sports facilities provided.
Placement Experience:
Placements are provided by the collge. Also, after first three years, we can also go for internships and learn basic skills. Also we have a choice to pursue Masters if we wish to after completing our Bachelors degree.

- Nothing much, just the college does not provide much options in extra curricular activities.
Internships Opportunities:
Students from 2nd year onwards apply for internships, and are offered good positions, they take their opportunities to develop practical knowledge on data science and industrial skills. Almost everyone who apply for internships are offered positions.

- The environment, the friendly professors and seniors, the course, really are the best
- Add to that the monthly stipend, no financial burden and stress free life for 5 years.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure could be a bit better.
Internships Opportunities:
Internship opportunities are offered to students from 2nd year onwards. Most of our seniors have done internships at companies like JP Morgan & Chase, etc. More details can be found on the placement Brochure.
Overall, for those people who love maths, ISI is THE BEST option, even more than IITs. I can say this with confidence since I left IIT Kgp Systems for ISI. Such students are very common in ISI. Unfortunately, a vast majority of students are not aware of this wonderful opportunity.

Placement Experience:
Placement is always 100% successful because the institute has good tie-ups with the industry. With an average salary of INR 19 LPA the institute offers a successful placement drive. Companies like Reliance, Deloitte etc come for placement.

The maximum salary offered was Rs 40.97 LPA and average was Rs 25.05 LPA for 2017-2019 session. Total 60 students were selected for 2017-2019 batch. There is great enthusiasm to maintain the excellent opportunity from the placement drive.
