Which one is better for B.A (Hons.) in political science: Hindu College, University of Delhi, or St. Xavier's Kolkata?

While my brother was preparing a list of top colleges offering Political Hons, he never came across St. Xavier’s Kolkata while Delhi University and Hindu College specifically topped his list. This in itself proves Hindu College to be better than St. Xavier’s. Additionally, most of the teachers and seniors advised him to choose Hindu. He was lucky enough to clear the cutoff and join the college. To date, he has no regrets about his decision. The best part of the institute is its superior location in Delhi. The crowd this college welcomes is another reason he was inclined towards it. The seniors are very cooperative and ragging is not tolerated. The faculty pool comprises professors from top national and international universities. Most of the students pursuing political science either target Civil services or are inclined toward international relations and other political issues. While many may find flaws here because it’s a government college, trust me in the long run it’s your efforts and talents that matter. A college can only provide for you; it is you who has to make the most out of it.

College life at Hindu College

Fees and Financial Aid:

The year wise fees that I paid is 27000 Rupees. Though the college holds some scholarships which the students can enroll while studying in the college. One such scholarship is Raj Bhargava Scholarship. Apart from this, the fee varies for different categories, for example, the foreign students are charged almost double than tha Indian students. If a student is an orphan, he has to pay almost negligible amount. Within these two years, I experienced a little hike in the fees which is normally acceptable. But the overall average remains 27000 Rupees only.

For outsiders fees is higher than that of students who belong to Delhi and this should change.

Hindu College is North Campus topmost college. Well the debate will always be on and the fees also varies as if you are from Delhi you have to pay 25000 while i am from outside Delhi so my fees is around 28k a year. However, the scholarship for lower caste students remains the same that is nearly half of what general category student pays.

In year 2023, when I took admission, the college fees was Rs.25,500 for general category for two semesters that is first year. It increases every year. There is scholarshship named Rajeev Bhargava scholarship, which is availed after getting into college.

My life in Hindu college

Fees is constant and annual fees of 25000. Many scholarship offered by DU for underprivileged. Raj bhargava scholarship offered by college for humanities stream students which is based on an exam and interview.

Hindu College - The college one must dream of.

I paid 26870 for BA Political Science Hons. For SC/ST and PWDs, it's much less. Infact for PWDs the fees is in hundreds! A number of scholarships are provided by the college: Raj Bhargava Scholarship: 75000 rupees and a tablet with Dubai trip. It is meant exclusively for humanities students and in that, 2 seats are reserved entirely for history grads and other seats for other humanities courses.

In last year of my study the yearly fees of college increased while I take admission my yearly fee is 18000 and this is in 2 years after the fee hikes, and one thing is the fees are different for the each subjects and college is providing so many scholarship as well and the major one scholarship providing for the arts people is Rajeev Bhargava scholarship this gives a huge amount for our studies

Hindu College-A to Z

Our tuition fees for one semester are 22500. Along with that, we have to pay examination fees for our semester exams, which vary between 1100 and 1600 based on our selection of papers. Complete tuition fees will be 67500 And considering 1200 examination fees per sem makes it 7200. So, a total of 68700. There are a total of 23 scholarships provided by our college. Rajiv Bhargava- students of humanities department, 70,000 per year Others-—Premvati Raghubir Singh Scholarship, SP Raina No, I have not taken any internship from the college. However, students do opt for both paid and unpaid scholarships. Stipends range from 5000-15000 per month.

Hindu is the best

After the implementation of new education policy, there is a increase in the fee structure. The fee for the course B.A.Hons Political Science for 1st year is 25,300rs. The college provide many scholarships and Rajeev Bhargav scholarship is one of them.

Delhi University offers financial aid to meritorious and financially weak students, Some names are as follow, VK Rao Endowment grant. The Delhi University and College Karamchari Book grant. Vijendra Sharmila Chopra Memorial Scholarship, His Holiness the Pope scholarship. these are to name a few. The overall cost to study at HIndu and in my course would cost 27,000 Rupees per year. The fee hike was almost a 6,000 rupees due to the NEP introduced in 2020.
