The course curriculum is a bit outdated and theoretical. we are being taught R and C languages and SPSS which is a bit outdated for now. python and machine learning should be introduced as it is the current trending and important languages. the timing of exams are in June and December, the exams are scheduled in extreme weather conditions be they really hot or really cold.

Personally i chose this subject because i believe this field is emerging in the future and people dont seem to realise its importance compared to other professional degrees. The curriculum provide seems to be kind of old and needs to be updated

The course curriculum provided by the university is really good one.It almost covers the subject deeply so that the student will be able to gain a deep knowledge in the subject .The exams are but tough comparing to other universities but with the help of teachers the students can make it easier to clear the exams with good grades

I have chosen bsc honours statistics ,becouse we are living in era of data , so my immense passion towards data paved me to engage in this and also real world experience that we are getting through it is very high becouse through many internships and projects I really understood that, I think the improvement that I need in my course is it should be in application level more than theoretical level.the frequency and timing of exam is very nicely scheduled

The faculty at the department im studying is highly qualified for whatbthey are put out for. And they give us projects that force us to do field work and many more such assignments and interactions with greater minds to brush up more skills.

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, the course curriculum and faculty members at Delhi University (DU) can vary widely depending on the specific college and department within the university. DU is known for its diverse range of courses across disciplines, and each department may have its own unique curriculum and faculty. Course Curriculum: DU offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various fields, including humanities, sciences, commerce, social sciences, and more. The course curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive and rigorous education in each field of study. It often includes a combination of core courses, elective courses, and practical components, allowing students to develop a broad understanding of their chosen subject. Each course may have specific requirements, and the curriculum is periodically updated to incorporate changes in the field and to meet educational standards. Students are usually provided with detailed course outlines
The course is very engaging as statistics has wide applicability and especially today when Big data is the basis for technology. Faculty members were knowledgeable but I felt were only exams oriented rather than making students work on various real life projects.
Course curry is a bit more theoretical but we do have practicals. CBCS system is followed and as compared to other courses in DU, it is a bit hectic but manageable. Faculties vary but are mostly nice. Apart from that, students usually have to study by themselves.
The course has a lot to offer and has a great scope. The students bagged extremely good offers in the past few years from some reputed organizations. The course is more updated when compared with any other course. Still it is required to be updated. The faculty is very experienced. The department got a chance to do a research project also for which the funds were provided by college.
The course syllabus was well updated accordingly and the academic facilities were good. The faculty is where the college needs to improve because a few teachers are not well versed with their subjects or with the entire system of imparting education to students in today's world.
