ISB Hyderabad Placements 2024: 394 Recruiters Visited & 1206 Offers made
ISB Hyderabad Placements 2024 concluded for its PGP program. Around 394 recruiters participated and made multiple job offers leading to a total of 1206 offers. The graduating batch had around 49% Engineering and 51% non-engineering students. The average work experience of the graduates was 2-24 months and around 40% of the batch had women candidates. 71% of the graduates choose to transition between industries and 75% shifted between functions. The major recruiting domain was Consulting & Technology.
ISB Hyderabad Placements 2023 final report is released with 99.4% placements recorded. According to the report, ISB Hyderabad average package increased by about 1.5% at INR 33.25 LPA whereas ISB Hyderabad highest package increased by 10% at INR 66 LPA for the top 80%. The participating batch of 845 students receieved a total of 1609 offers. ISB Hyderabad Placements 2023 had a participation of 324 recruiters. Some of the top recruiters included Accenture, Amazon, Bain & Company, Barclays India, Deloitte etc.

ISB holds a 100% placement record. The placements usually take place over several days and a lot of companies visit on the same day. ISB provides a lot of study material to prep students for the placement depending on industry interests such as case prep material for product management and consulting, interview guidelines, resume building workshops, practice interviews conducted by alums etc. Unfortunately, there are no internship opportunities provided by the school as it is a short duration program of only 1 year as opposed to the usual 2-year MBA programs offered by other business schools. However, ISB does provide an internship-like opportunity called an Experiential Learning Program.

Overall really good placements. All top tier consulting and marketing firms visit the college for campus placements. There's also this experiential learning program that you can be a part of. As it is a one year course, there are no internships.

Average CTC is 25 LPA. All industry leaders in consulting (MBB) investment banking, technology (Google, amazon, Microsoft) and unicorns recruit from Campus. All students get placed.

Peer Group:
The admission committee selects the incoming class and distributes it across the two campuses. So, you will get a similar peer group at both campuses.
Placements:
ISB Hyderabad and ISB Mohali conduct placements as a single school. Fore placements, students of one campus fly down to another. Students also don’t mention their campus on their CV. ISB Mohali placements 2022 had an average CTC of INR 34.07 LPA.
Education:
The quality of education and pedagogy are the same for both campuses. The faculties shuffle between the campuses and there are guest faculties from reputed B-Schools like MIT, Kellogg, LBS, etc.
At ISB Mohali, you will get almost the same academic experience as ISB Hyderabad.
I have been placed with Deloitte US, India. Does Deloitte sponsor foreign MBAs or say an MBA from ISB Hyderabad?
Yes, Deloitte US India has a program called Graduate School Assistance Program (GSAP). People opting for this program are rehired with promotion after they complete their MBA, and Deloitte pays the MBA fees. You can do your MBA from ISB Hyderabad through this program. There are other options available too such as IIMs, XLRI, MDI, SPJIMR, JBIMS, IIFT, NMIMS, IIT DoMS, and a few tier 2 and 3 schools.
If you are selected in GSAP, Deloitte will give you an initial sum of around INR 75k. You will have to resign and join MBA. At the time of placement Deloitte will make a full-time offer and hire you back at the next higher level from which position you resigned. If you join, Deloitte will pay your MBA fees in two installments.
To be eligible for the program, you need to have completed three years of service at the firm. You should have had high performance in the last 2 years' ends assessment cycles of the firm. You need to be at the Associate Analyst, Analyst, or Consultant level while applying.
If you fulfill the above criteria, you can apply for GSAP. The application is usually made available in December-January. You need to fill out a detailed form and get it approved by your counselor. Then you will have to decide the service line that you want to join back after completing your MBA and justify it. There will be a couple of interviews with Managing Directors or Senior Managers. Through these interviews, they will try to understand your future goals in life, your experience in Deloitte, and why you want to do an MBA.
How good is placement at ISB, Hyderabad compared to IIMs (since number of students are much more in ISB, leading to tough competition)?
When comparing the placements of the two, ISB and IIMs, the batch size hardly matters because both institutes market different products. The background and profiles of students of both institutes are too versatile to draw comparisons. If I roughly divide the ISB students and the kind of placement scenario they face then
- 90% of students get their dream jobs in the desired sector and company
- 10% of the students get jobs that are below their expectations but not worse enough to forgo the offers
So the batch size does not matter here and ISB Hyderabad placements are themselves quite satisfactory.

In terms of faculty, placements, curriculum and other aspects, ISB Hyderabad is good for MBA Finance. The curriculum is well-designed and covers the current standard practices in the industry. The basic Fiannace subjects are covered in earlier in the program and students get to choose their electives in the last 5 terms.
ISB placements are good for Finance. But it depends a lot on the students. The job profile you will be offered will depend a lot on your background, profile, interests, etc. During 2022 placements, the salary packages offered for Finance profiles were in the range of INR 24.5 LPA - 38 LPA.

ISB caters to working professionals with more than 2 years of experience. If you do not belong to this category, this institution is not for you.
Now coming to the other options,
The HR program of XLRI is very old and renowned. Because of it, XLRI receives a slightly higher number of recruiters. This boosts its average package. Its limited batch size also benefits its placements. IIMK, FMS and XLRI receive more or less the same companies. But IIMK and XLRI attract MBB (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) for their front end roles, which IIMI and FMS do not.
Considering all these factors, XLRI is the best choice, mainly because of its small batch size. It is followed by IIMK and FMS, and IIM Indore comes last.
How are the placement opportunities for Chartered Accountants/ Finance Professionals at ISB (PGP) Hyderabad?
