Question 1

Which entrance exams are accepted for MBA admission at BIMM Pune?

Accepted Answer

BIMM accepts scores from CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, MAH MBA CET and ATMA. A valid score in any one of these is enough to be considered for the selection rounds across all three MBA specialisations.

Question 2

How does the selection process work at BIMM Pune?

Accepted Answer

Selection combines three components. The entrance exam score carries 35 percent weight, the Group Discussion carries 35 percent, and Essay Writing along with the Personal Interview carries 30 percent. This means your performance in the discussion and interview matters as much as your exam score.

Question 3

Which dates should I be aware of while taking admission in BIMM Pune?

Accepted Answer

The Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds run from February to April 2026, and admission confirmation happens between May and June 2026. You should also track your entrance exam dates, such as XAT on January 4, 2026 and CMAT on January 25, 2026, to ensure a valid score in time.

Question 4

Is admission to BIMM Pune tough to crack?

Accepted Answer

Admission is moderately competitive. A decent entrance score gets you shortlisted, but the Group Discussion, Essay and Personal Interview together carry 65 percent weight, so candidates who prepare well for these rounds stand a strong chance even without a very high exam percentile.

Question 5

What specialisations does the MBA programme at BIMM offer?

Accepted Answer

BIMM offers MBA in Marketing Management, Project Management and HRD, and a Core MBA track. All three specialisations follow the same entrance and selection process and share the same fee structure.

Question 6

Can final-year graduation students apply for the MBA at BIMM?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Final-year graduation students who expect to meet the minimum 50 percent aggregate requirement can apply. They must submit proof of meeting the eligibility once their final results are declared, during document verification.

Question 7

What is one thing I should know before taking admission in BIMM Pune?

Accepted Answer

Focus on the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Since these rounds together carry more weight than the entrance score, candidates who practise communication, current affairs and structured thinking tend to do better in the final selection.

Question 8

How do I apply for MBA admission at BIMM Pune?

Accepted Answer

First secure a valid score in CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, MAH MBA CET or ATMA. Then apply online through the BIMM admissions portal, upload your academic documents, attend the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds, and finally accept the offer letter and pay the deposit to confirm your seat.

Question 9

Is there a caution deposit apart from the course fee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A refundable caution deposit of INR 10,000 is collected separately from the programme fee. Hostel charges are also optional and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so plan your finances accordingly while confirming admission.
