ARIBAS Biotechnology Course: A Balanced Blend of Theory & Practice

The 75:25 girl to boy ratio creates a vibrant and inclusive environment, fostering meaningful interactions and friendships.
Supportive faculty: Professors demonstrate expertise in the fields, offering valuable mentorship and guidance.
3 subbranch of biotechnology in masters: 1. Medical Biotechnology 2. Industrial Biotechnology 3. Environmental Biotechnology

Dislikes

Infrastructure: ARIBAS located in ISTAR college building which has 5th floors. And 4th and 5th floor ARIBAS is located. Upgrading laboratory facilities, instrumentation, and equipment is essential to enhance hands on learning experiences.
Teaching method: Incorporating more practical applications & reducing repetition in theory and practical classes would elevate the learning experience.
Faculty recruitment: Attracting & retaining diverse, experienced faculty members would further enrich the academic environment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Interdisciplinary approach, Focus on emerging areas (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, bioinformatics) 2. Research and development in biotech industries, Academic pursuits (Master's/Ph.D.), Careeres in Pharmaceuticals, agriculture, healthcare and ETP & Entrepreneurship in biotech startups. 3. Synthetic biology, Gene editing technologies, Bioengineering & biomaterials, guest lectures. 4. Frequency: 1 internal exam (6th week) & 1 external exam (15th week). 5. Difficulty : 30% easy, 40% moderate & 40% hard.

What you should know about this college

Likes

I have had a fantastic campus. Life and college experience was very good.
The teaching was very good. The topics were explained very well.
The faculty members are very friendly and the students encourage fellow students to give their best

Dislikes

The college timings are a bit lengthy. Also the lunch break is little bit short.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The vision of choosing this course is that it has a wide scope in the coming era and it provides enumerous opportunities for job and business. There is specialized faculty for every subject and have PhD in their own fields . The curriculum is designed in a such a way that it prepares the students for their jobs. Teaching methods are very subtle and easy to understand the use of smart boards makes it even more fun. The exams are easy to pass as the paper style is discussed with the students. Practicals are also performed on regular basis
