MCC Mulund Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

Ans. Under NEP 2023-24, MCC Mulund applied a flexible course structure to the degree program so that first-year students now have the option to take minor subjects along with their major (i.e., a B.Com student may take Data Science as a minor). Students will also take skill-based courses that are mandatory, such as digital marketing or a programming language like Python. The requirements for grading and passing are somewhat flexible; students can earn credits in these courses by doing an internship or community service, for example. Students must complete a total of 132 credits throughout their 3 years, which will be difficult, but will prepare them for multiple opportunities in their careers.

Ans. In-demand courses at MCC Mulund such as B.Com (Accounting & Finance) and B.Sc. (Data Science) are likely to have competitive cutoffs (ex, 89.5% for B.Com A&F in 2025). The admission procedure includes MCC issuing three merit lists, including your name in one of the lists means you shall confirm your seat within 48 hours from selection, complete the payment of fees online and submission of original documents like HSC mark sheets and caste certificates (if applicable). Late confirmations or unwillingness to pay the fees online shall mean forfeiting the request for admission. Candidates with relevant subjects will receive priority according to MCC rules.

Ans. As per the rules & guides of the University of Mumbai, MCC Mulund has an institutional policy for Out of State Students for 10-15% of seats based on the total intake capacity. Usually, the out-of-state students have to procure a migration certificate and also an eligibility certificate from the University at the time of admission. The College has created a special helpdesk for them due to the peculiarity of the board grading system for the out-of-state students, which MCC then converts as per its merit criteria for eligibility.

Ans. MCC Mulund follows the reservation policy of the Maharashtra government strictly; which provides seats for SC (13%), ST(7%), OBC(19%), SBC, VJNT, and EWS categories. Each candidate applying online will have to submit valid caste/income certificatates.

Ans. Yes. Students failing at certain subjects are promoted to the next year at MCC Mulund . They can retake the failed subjects to clear the backlog. However, the passing percentage at the college is 40 while a minimum of grade E is required to be scored in projects to pass a semester. Hence, it is not difficult to be promoted to the next year / semester without backlog.

Ans. Yes. Reserved category students are provided with a eligibily criteria relaxation of 9-18% across the UG courses. However, MCC Mulund cutoffs being quite high, even this relaxation demands reserved category students to have scored a decent percentage in 10+2.
