Companies start coming to the college campus from the 6th semester. This year's placement season is yet to start. Last year more than 150 companies visited the campus. The highest package offered was 22 LPA by Cohesity. The average package offered is 4 LPA. In Computer Science and Engineering, nearly 80% of the students have been placed until now and the recruitment process is still on. My plan is to get a job at a reputable company with a decent package.

Placements are available in our college. The highest package has gone upto 48lpa. Percentage of students getting placements is not a big number but the packages are good. I am planning to go for masters after I get my degree.
The companies visited our College were TCS, Infosys And ITC. Recruitment Drive had Aptitude Test, Group Discussion and Face to Face Interview. The Tentative Percentage of students Placed was 65%. The Special Aptitude Classes were held on Saturdays for Final Year Students. Special classes were conducted by TIME institute.
The placement cell in st.joseph is fine there are much companies coming up for the IT field rather than the other branches but still we get an opportunity to apply for these companies, 80-90% students were placed. This year I saw Amazon visiting for placement. 7/10 Most of the E'C students get placed here by TCS other equivalent companies. Mechanical students get decent jobs here and also other branches. Civil has a less placements here when compared to other branch.
Campus placements help a lot of students. But the main problem is that core companies are very few. Most of the companies are IT companies and pick students from every departments. Companies that place more students are ITC, Infosys, TCS, Infotech. They have a basic pay of about 25000. The placement procedures are simple and enough training is given to tackle these placements But the absence of core companies is a huge drawback.

College doesn't provide any internship opportunity but keeps posting and emailing all the students about all the latest and highly recommended internships available for students and encourages students to take part in it.
