Ans. Students and alumni claim that SSTC Bhilai believes in spreading fake propaganda about their placement records. For instance, if they are showing 100 placements, it means there were only 10 placements. They keep students busy in attending Campus preparation classes and fool them, saying that they will get good placements. The college has a low placement record. Most of the time they outsource their placement preparations and that does affect your regular studies. Companies do arrive on campus but packages offered are too low and that too for call centre profiles. Companies come for CSE but mostly selected students are from Electronics and college does nothing to avoid that. They have Student Assistance Cell and Placement Assistance Cell where some talented students from each class are selected and they are being “trained as waiters” in the name of personality development. These students are made to miss their classes so that they carry a Tea Tray and Breakfast for the college guests. Overall, if you want to get a good job then better you get admitted in any college in Maharashtra or Delhi instead of choosing any college in Chhattisgarh.
