Will I be eligible for the scholarship for B.Tech CSE at SCE Kottayam?

Scholarships at Saintgits College of Engineering are available for B.Tech students, including those pursuing Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), based on academic merit and specific quotas. Eligibility is determined by marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in the Higher Secondary Examination and/or the percentage score obtained in the Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM).The scholarship varies depending on different B.Tech departments. For example, for the department of Civil, Chemical, EEE, Electronics VLSI Design & Technology, Food Technology, ME, Robotics & Automation, there is a full-tuition fee waiver scholarship available for those who score 90% and above in 10+2. The scholarship is also given for these departments on the basis of KEAM rank of up to 8000.Besides, the Kerala government also provides scholarships based on scores obtained in the Kerala state board examination. For example, for the departments of Civil, Chemical, EEE, Electronics, VLSI Design & Technology, Food Technology, ME, Robotics & Automation, a scholarship of INR 70,000 is given if the marks obtained in the Kerala State Board are 90%-95%. On the other hand, if the marks obtained in the Kerala State Board are more than 95%, then the full amount of scholarship is given on the tuition fee at SCE Kottayam.

Is the entrance exam mandatory at SCE Kottayam?

SCE Kottayam offers both B.Tech and M.Tech courses in different fields of specialization. For admission to B.Tech the KEAM entrance exam is mandatory. For M.Tech admission, the GATE scores are compulsory.Apart from these conditions, meeting the eligibility criteria for B.Tech and M.Tech is also a must for consideration for college. For B.Tech, the eligibility criteria include passing the Higher Secondary Examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects. For M. Tech, a BE/BTech degree in the relevant discipline is required. Selection is based on the entrance exam scores, followed by counselling.However, there are also seats reserved for NRI quota admission at Saingits. The entrance examination is not mandatory for admission through NRI quotas. Only the eligibility criteria set by the college must be met for admission under this category.

SAINTGITS COLLEGE HONEST REVIEW FROM AN NRI KID

Infrastructure was good, included good design choices
Teachers (exceptions excluded) had good relationships with children
Ragging/bullying is not to an extreme extent

Dislikes

Language; Not many good english speaking teachers
Strict dress code rules that may have changed after being autonomous
Location; Too far from both kottayam and changanessery

end of 3rd year students and 4th year students are eligible for placement, CS has the most placement opportunities, Mainly civil, CS, electrical, Mechanical have placements Banks also come for placement

Overall teaching and the faculty is really well standard of education is very high and yes college provides us with internship opportunities as well which is very usefull
Overall exposure that we get through the various programmes that we conduct and the college conducts
Labs and library of the college are really well maintained and also it is a most of the cources are NBA accredited which is a major boost for jobs

Dislikes

Our college is bit strict in terms of attendence and marks

Our college provides decent placements to students many of our alluminees oru working in mahindra, fabcon, infosys, federal Bank etc other than that college also helps to build startups with good idea that we bring to the table

The atmosphere, calm atmosphere you have a lot to explore
The faculties they are super friendly and they make us understand everything

Dislikes

No programs are conducted even if they conduct it they do it after the class time which not good option for day scholars

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities are abundant but we need a cgpa of 8 or above I think for internship we can get internship in other countries and some time we will get placement in that company itself but I'm just a fresher

Likes

The friendly attitude of same teachers. Hod
The atmosphere of college campus is awesome
The events conducted by college is very good

Dislikes

The hostel facility is pretty average and warden is not that good
Some teacher are not that great and have average knowledge
The event are pretty less and only upto noon it will conduct

Internships Opportunities:

There is no much interships. There are so many hackathons like tedx. There are so many students having skill but doesn't support them. The college didn't have interships schemes much. But placement training are superb

Likes

Ambience of the college, freedom in college (not in class), Hostel Life is nice.. I like Hostel vibe more than college.

Dislikes

Overloaded syllabus, we have to travel for 20 min to get to the city, no big shops near.

Internships Opportunities:

Actually I have very less knowledge about internship opportunities available in our college Saintgits college of engineering, Kottayam. But I know that fare internships are provided in our college. Seniors would be able to give a better info about this. Thank you.

Interaction between students and faculty is good. It gives many opportunities to study and help forr good results
Techno cultural event of our College is big one many other students of another colleges are participate in this program

Food of hostel is not good in some days it's badly effect the students
