Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management (SCEM) Mangalore Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placements start from the 6th semester. And there will be on-campus placements. Many companies like Adobe, Microsoft and other big companies have visited this college for placements. The highest package was 44 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA Almost 90 to 95 per cent of students get placed.

The campus placement is good for computer science and engineering, and information science and engineering Students and from ECE also the place is quite good. Many students have been placed in top MNCs with good packages. The minimum 6.75 cgpa is required to get into placement. About 70-80 percent of the students are placed every year. The highest package offered is 40 lpa by Microsoft.

Many companies are going to visit every year in our college highest pack till today is 43 lakh per annum. The average pack is around 4.5 lakhs per annum. Almost 95% of the students will get placed every year. Some of the companies are Microsoft, Infosys, windrow, Adobe, Tata, etc.,

From 5-6 sem the students become eligible for placements. Since here in Sahyadri, we have placement training we are well prepared for the interviews and other stuff. The highest package was 40lpa by our alumni Leela manolatha placed at Microsoft.

Around 200 companies visit Sahyadri every year. College management tries to take place every student if they are eligible. The highest package is 43 LPA and the average package is around 4lpa. Almost 80% of students get placement every year.

Placement cell is one of the best departments in our college which ensures many students gets placed. From the 6th sem students become eligible and the company starts visiting. Many tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft had recruited the students. Many students also got placed in top service-based companies like Tcs, Infosys, etc. The highest package was 40 LPA which was offered by Microsoft in the year 2021. Sahyadri is also a hub startup with in-house industries where students can learn industrial skills and come out with great startup ideas.

The main reason to go with SCEM was the amazing Placement track of the college. Compared to other colleges in Mangalore, Sahyadri had most of the things that I was looking for in an engineering college: good placements, industry experience, hands on learning, co-curricular activities, etc.Admission process includes verification of documents. Admissions are open during the months of April, May and June.Sahyadri was a good experience since there was some exposure to industry and tons of workshops and hackathons to learn from. The clubs in the college are really amazing and they help you learn so many things that are out of syllabus. A necessary thing to consider while joining would be that most of the good faculties have left for other better paying college. Anyways, there are few good lecturers who are really friendly with students. Sahyadri has a great campus and is well known for the scenic lake view near the college.

The ambience of the college is great and there are a lot of startups in the college which makes a student ready for industry. The harsh part is that theres no must college fest or festival celebrations. The college management doesn't encourage any of those.

College Has a huge amount of placement records Since more than 160 companies have visited our college and more than 600+ students got placed. Many Companies visit every year like Infosys, IBM, Cohesity, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc have also visited our college and offered profiles like Software engineer, etc. The highest package was 40+ lakhs from Adobe and 40lakhs from Cohesity and Microsoft respectively in the year 2020. Students become eligible in the 7th semester itself for campus placements. Some companies like IBM, Infosys, and Cognizant hire in the bulk of 100, etc. My plan after getting a degree is to work as a data scientist or Data analyst in one of the leading companies. I am assured of getting placed Because our college has an average of 80 percent placement guarantee.
