Candidates can exercise their choices @cetonline.karnataka.gov.in till Oct 7, 2025, and the fee must be deposited between Oct 6 & 8, 2025. Read news.
RVCE provides B.E, M.Tech, and MBA programs across various disciplines like Engineering, Basic Sciences and Computer Applications. A total of 15 departments offer around 40 courses to UG & PG level students. M.Tech and MCA admissions are open.
RVCE accepts admissions for these programs through state-level and national-level entrance exams. For B.Tech Admissions, seats are to be filled by students selected from the KCET or COMEDK exam, followed by the KEA Counselling round. The KCET B.Tech Cutoff for 2025 ranged from 234 to 15717.5 in the General category. The CSE and Data Science branch has the highest cutoff. Admission to PG programs like MCA/M.Tech programs are conducted based on the scores of PGCET/KMAT/GATE, respectively. Students are also offered direct admission through the Management Quota. RVCE offers a four-year B.Tech degree program in 10+ specialisations. Students can avail these programs at an annual fee of INR 3.3 Lakhs. Some of the popular specializations of B.E. are CSE and Aerospace Engineering. The total B.Tech seat intake is 1285.

RVCE B.E. Eligibility Criteria
The minimum requirement for applying is mentioned as follows:
- Candidates must have passed class 12th with at least 45% in Mathematics and Physics separately.
- Also, they must have obtained at least 70% marks in Maths and Science separately.
RVCE B.E. Selection Criteria
- For selecting candidates, R.V. The College of Engineering considers the KCET exam scores for those who are residents of Karnataka.
- For students from other states, the selection depends on exams such as COMEDK or other national-level entrance tests.
- Applicants with a valid rank in any of these exams must appear for the respective counselling process.
- KCET-qualified students are required to attend KCET counselling conducted by KEA, while COMEDK qualifiers must attend COMEDK counselling. During counselling, applicants must fill in their preferred choice of college and course.
- Seats are allotted based on the choices filled and the scores obtained in the entrance exams. Approximately 45% of the seats are filled through KCET, 30% through COMEDK, and the remaining 25% through the Management Quota.
- Selected candidates must submit the required documents and pay the prescribed fees to confirm their admission.

RVCE M.Tech Admission 2026

The eligibility to apply for the course is prescribed below:
- Candidates must have a BE/B. Tech degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates).

RVCE MCA Admission 2026
RV College of Engineering offers a 2-year MCA program at INR 57,750. The admission procedure and eligibility for this program are discussed below:
RVCE MCA Eligibility Criteria
To apply for MCA, one must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have completed their Graduation with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Programming/ Computer Applications/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects.
- Further, they must have obtained at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for Sc/ST candidates) in their Graduation.

Ans. RVCE offers admissions to B.E., M.Tech, and MCA programs. Students need to register, apply, and appear for the entrance exams for the respective program. Post which, students have to apply online through the official website of the institute, or can visit the campus. UG admissions, the Karnataka Common Entrance Test is conducted. For PG-level programs, PGCET/GATE/KMAT exam scores are considered for admissions. The final selection and seat allotment are conducted according to merit score and reservation quota guidelines stated by the Government of Karnataka. Selection is conducted through KEA Counselling rounds.
Ques. Is RVCE accepting JEE Mains?
Ans. According to unofficial sources, RV College of Engineering also accepts JEE Main scores for its B.E. admissions. However, according to the official website, RVCE allows B.E. admissions based on KCET/COMEDK scores, followed by KEA Counselling rounds.
Ques. Can I get admission through the Management Quota?
Ans. RVCE offers direct admission to all its programs through the Management Quota, although the seats are said to be limited. Students who have ranked lower scores in the entrance exams can also opt for this method of admission. But students must have secured at least 45% in the 12th standard as per VTU guidelines.

To get admission to B.Tech course at RVCE Bangalore, you need to have passed 12th with 55% or more in PCM to be eligible, then appear for KCET/JEE Mains to be eligible for admission followed by COMEDK counselling.
