Gce keonjhar offers a b.tech program at ?140,000 with scholarships like national, post-matric, and pragati available.
Placement is very good special for mining branch placement is done in various reputed companies like vedantu,tata steel and adani with very high package.
Faculities are so good here. i like this way they teach us.

Dislikes

First thing i disliked is the hostel food the qualities of this foods are so much bad . according to fees we paid for this.
First thing that im going to dislike is that the hostel foods its so much bad . and the qualities are also so much bad
- i have stayed in mess during 2nd year and its the worst experience so i will suggest all to stay in hostel.

A good college with its pros and cons

Likes

The environment the fests, placement culture and its different club facility for exposure to your talent and intrest.
Various initiatives are taken by Government to ensure great future of the students. Previous year 5 student of minnning engineering branch have sent to foreign institution for higher study by Government free of cost
Good alumnae network and placement in various big MNCs

Dislikes

Not having enough well qualified facility
Not having good playground and instruments for playing
Don't have well equipped lab facility for students and don't have real world exposure for students

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is good and after 6th semester you are eligible to sit on campus placement and if You have 60 percentage in 10th, 12th and graduation then you are good to go. Vedantu, Adani ports, Tata steel, JSW etc are among the good companies which come for placement. The average package is 300000 and highest package is up to 1600000. More than 60% to 70% students gets placed each year in the college. I am planning to do m.tech after the college.

Exact review of a 3 tier government college

Likes

the fees is quite affordable and you get hostel facilities
food is different from each day,and hostel price is low
you get personal table,racks,free wifi,with high speed fan

Dislikes

the facilities such as getting clean water is low
the speed of free wifi is very much low with discoonections
the taste of food is average and som,etimes we get stale food

Placement Experience:

from seventh sem onwards student become eligible fr campus placements. we try for off campus placements like tcs,infosys,cozentus,tech mahindra,incture ,cognizant,hexaware with average package ranging from three to four lakhs

The moto of our college is "Gyanam anantam"which means knowledge is endless.

Likes

The college campus is very friendly and faculties are friendly and helpful.
Infrastructure of the college is well developed.
Every requirements for an engineering college is present here.

Dislikes

Many corruptions in the colleges and in their infrastructures.
Sometimes there are some ragging in the hostels.
Roads are not good in the college and college is not so much developed as compared to other engineering colleges.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies such as Aditya Birla, Rungta steels Ltd, idfco, Vedanta,tata steels, Adani , coal India etc. visit our college each year for placements. Each year nearly 40% of students gets placed in the placement sections. After getting degree is should do my mtech.

SUPER REVIEW OF MY COLLEGE

Likes

College location is away from the town and very peaceful
Market is not also so far but it's better to stay away , campus life is enjoyable, faculties are helping..
Placements are also good they try to fit in more students

Dislikes

We don't have much things to dislike but the wifi system is a bit slower
Veichles for 1st yearstudents are not allowed, but after 1st year they can keep own veichles
The infrastructure of the college is being made wider now

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year you are eligible for the campus placements if you have no backlogs then it is easier. Most companies visit us because of the reputation of the college Like imfa, rungta steel,optcl,nalco,tata etc. A minimum 75% of students get placed every year..and off-campus is also available. My plan is to be placed in a good company. After my degree, the minimum rank I require first is a junior engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is 100% placement in Mining Branch of this college. Facilities are less. If Government focus on the Faculties of this college then this college gonna rock. Actually , Faculties are quite good. Only problem of this college is the Principal. He is not doing well ????. Exams are little difficult and it happens time to time.

Likes

The teachers is most qualified and helpful.
The campus life is really going giving all the chances for growth.
The facilities for core branches are really good.

Dislikes

The College Campus is not connected in the main road, so communication is difficult.
There are not separate grounds in sports.
The students tend to bunk class that to insist for mass bunk.

Placement Experience:

The Placement in this college is good compared to another state government college in Odisha. After 6th semester the Placement is coming. Many Company is visiting for the Campus Placement like ADANI GROUP, TECH-MAHINDRA, TCS, TATA POWER, VEDANTA, INFOSYS, WIPRO, etc. The average package is 300000/year & the highest Placement this year is 900000/year. There are 180 students placed in various Companies & it is increasing every year.

Likes

First things was the freedom that was given to us in our college.
Second is the teachers which supports to improve our skills.
As it's situated in middle of the mountains,the scenery is good.

Dislikes

There is library which is not properly developed.
Absence ofa playground or any such fields.
Absence of a music club...cause I myself am a great fan of tabla...so I could not improve my skills in these 4 years of my engineering life.

Placement Experience:

Placement in our college is about average. Mainly the startup companies come for placement and the average salary expectation is about 3-4 lakhs per annum but on the positive side, more than 85 percent of students get placed in our college. After my degree, I am looking out for companies like tcs, Microsoft, Dell, and HP.

Why you shouldn't consider remotely located Government Colleges.

Likes

The attendance criteria is not very strict.
Students of diverse backgrounds could be met and interacted here.
Classrooms are very spacious and in a very good condition.

Dislikes

No placement opportunities or internship opportunities are provided here.
There is no cafeteria or canteen in the entire campus.
There is not a single playground in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen CSE because I feel it's my passion. The course is as per the BPUT syllabus. But in here in my college, we only have 2 permanent teachers in the entire department. With all the rest being local contractual teachers, who just care about finishing the course. In some cases, they don't even finish the course, and they're just okay with it because they know that there's no one above them to question them.

Campus location is good.bwtween the mountains
Overall labs are quite good and campus is ohk
Faculties have high knowledge and experience

The college is situated far away from the town .

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that much good in our college. It's better for mining students as this college is special in mining engineering. The mining engineering students get good packages and placement. The average package for mining students is 9 lakhs. For other branch students, it varies from 2 lakhs to 3 lakhs per annum. Companies- Adani, Tata Power, JSW, Vedanta, Tech Mahindra, etc.
