Why To Join Government College of Engineering Keonjhar - Reviews & Rating
Our course curriculum was decided by BPUT which is the university to which this college is affiliated, once your semester exam is over BPUT will give you some days off during which the curriculum will uploaded on the BPUT site, you can just download it from there in pdf format. Now the teachers are well experienced in teaching but there are more contractual faculty that permanent. Permanent faculty includes 1 HOD and 2 Assistant Professor and rest teachers are contractual and also this is a very new branch in this college as compared to other branches so this is also a reason of having so many temporary faculties. Exam schedule will also be published on the BPUT site and BPUT will check all the exam sheet of Semester exams only and the rest exams like internals and practical's that will done on the college level.
From the 7th semester, we become eligible for campus placement.
Last year companies like Infosys came and took 2 students for SAP and many people are placed in companies like TCS, Accenture, Wipro and some have joined startups. 1 person was placed in Tata Power and 1 in byjus.
From the 6th semester, students get eligible for placement many companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, and other big companies come for hiring average starting package offered is 3.5 lakhs to 4 lakhs.
Nearly 85% of students get placement every year.
The percentage of students getting placement is a minimum of 60% each year. They get placed according to their talent. No, any sector takes them in donation base. My plan after getting a degree is to get placed in a good company and do my job.
Computer Science and Engineering is the course I chose as I am good in tech and this branch is in high demand now. There are about 40-45 faculties and students are 700-800 in each year, making it a total of 2800-3000 students on the campus. All faculties have acquired a B.Ed degree in common and a PhD/ Masters in their respective subjects. The exams are a bit delayed due to the pandemic going on and talking about the difficulty of examinations, If a good amount of time is spent studying, it's not that difficult to pass.
From the 5th semester, students are eligible for the campus placements as like other colleges. And companies we've visited are some of like Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro. My plan after getting a degree is to get placed in a good place no matter whether it's on or off-campus.
If students maintain a good record in academics and also done internships he might get places in 4th year only that too before completion of course. Companies like Tata, ACC, Vedanta etc are offering jobs on our campus. I feel if students are eligible they will definitely get placed, although I don't have any idea about how many students ate getting placed.
I am thinking of trying my luck in the defence services for I am having a technical background I can get a chance there.
