Remarks

I opted for some private colleges like SILICON, CV RAMAN etc, at first, but then luckily got chance in this government college, reason for choosing was simple i.e academic fees and other co-curricular activity fees was far less than that off the private colleges and thats a way obvious. I haven't availed any quota. For admission in any govt. College the minimum 12th percentage happened to be minimum 75% in the core subjects and definately overall satisfactory rank in JEE , but there wasn't any age restriction. The admission process was quiet simple, the only thing to be done during the admission day was to submit the neccesary documents and definately the fees in form of DD.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

B.Tech happens to be one of the most common courses, also I like technical stuff so this was the best option I had for the fulfilment of my dreams. Faculty:student ratio, I haven't kept a count so can't say but faculty happens to be good in all terms let it be in a number of teaching. The majority of the faculty are highly educated in terms of degree I feel only they will know what all qualifications they have achieved, but their way of teaching is highly professional, they make boring lectures interesting what else a student would dream for. Our college comes under BPUT so regarding the timings of conduction of exam it is very strict, it's not difficult to pass, the person who has studied will definitely pass it has nothing to do with the setting of paper.

Internships Opportunities

2

I don't feel our college provide any internship program, not sure though students do their internship using their own source. Internships are a must so we are supposed to do it by hook or crook, placement will ask for your experience if you do an internship in reputed industries like Nalco, RSP etc you have a higher chance of getting placed with a handsome package.

Placement Experience

3

If students maintain a good record in academics and also done internships he might get places in 4th year only that too before completion of course. Companies like Tata, ACC, Vedanta etc are offering jobs on our campus. I feel if students are eligible they will definitely get placed, although I don't have any idea about how many students ate getting placed. I am thinking of trying my luck in the defence services for I am having a technical background I can get a chance there.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a government college its fees is very less, it charges roughly 30,000 for tuition fees and 36,000 for hostel per year. The various scholarship is available for BPL students as well as for students with quota. But in general, hardly one or two scholarship are available. I haven't got any job till now for I'm in just 2nd year now.

Campus Life

4

A various fest like Utkarash, mech2.0 etc is conducted each year by the college. Mainly they are conducted in March. Our college has a big library where mostly every course-related books are available. Books of famous authors are also available, we are allowed to keep the books for the full semester after which we return them and collect next sem books. Smart class is very common in every colleges and school, our college also has the facility of educomp system which makes learning more interesting. It conducts sports annual meet every year. Some groups like SAARC, RAW, ROBOTICs etc are there which are handled by the students only, this group helps in doing something innovative as well as new, which at the end of the will help us to increase our knowledge.

Hostel Facilities

4

The rooms are given with lockers, beds, tables, the washrooms happen to be a common washroom outside each wing, which is more or less hygienic. Rooms are bright enough which provides us with a better atmosphere for studying. The food is good as well as healthy. The hostel provides us with a nutritious diet along with sweets etc. It maintains proper hygiene while cooking and the canteen setup is good. The registration process was simple we simply had to submit the required documents along with the fees in DD which was about 36000.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The pedagogy is excellent since majorly learning is through real-world case studies, reserach papers, peer discussions and interactive class activities. The professors provide materials and pre-reads at the starting of the term and the content is highly focussed on practical learning. The AI sessions are enriching. The difficulty level of exams vary among the instructors but usually is aligned with topics already taught.

sociology as an academic discipline is really sought after in the recent times. it is considered as one of the most sought elective chosen by the upsc aspirants and the discipline in itself gives you a great chance at understanding your society and other societies about how they function amd operate, provides knowledge about various cultures, health, environment, city structure and so much more. you can pursue higher studies or go for NET exams right after post graduation. you can also work with ngos and other nonprofit organizations. each semester is ideally of 6 months and two exams are there. the difficulty level of exams would range from moderate to high

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well MBBS is a serving degree, if you are interested in serving the people you can choose this degree. It also needs a lot of patience, here we have classes from 7 AM so its a bit hard to wake up this early & ends at 4 PM which causes more trouble coz u won't get to rest properly, usually we end up being tired & lack of sleep, so I think this schedule can have a bit more change with regards to us children. The exams here are done very frequently, as in the class tests are taken up time to time , sometimes surprise tests are also done so u have to be very updated with what's being studied each cls.The internals are held in every trimester & at the end of the year a product exam is being held which is the important one.
