The avarage package is 3 lakh and the highest and lowest is 16lakh and 1.2 lakh respectively. The major hiring companies for cse department are Apmosys, Tech Mahindra and many more.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is quite good you have a very healthy environment and you also get to enjoy several fest such as xenesis for cse department, Nirman for civil, Vidityutam for electrical and many more for different dipartments. Our college also helds anuual sports which consists of different events such as athletic, cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, badminton, chess, football, table tennis, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

You would get a three persons shared room in which you will get a bed and a rack that comes with a locker to keep your precious things. Electrical instruments such as induction are not allowed you can only keep your mobile and laptop or any other small device that consumes less power. The meals quality is decent you would get non veg 5 days in week which includes eggs, fish and chicken. For veg you will get paneer and mushrooms around 3-4 days. Deserts are also provided such as ice cream, gulab jamun and sahi tukda at dinner daily. The hostel is quite affordable as compared to other collages. You can also opt for mess or pg which are not so far from college but are quite expensive.

Admission

You have to give jee mains and ojee examination to get admission in our college. As my rank was not upto the mark to get admission into vssut or outer but I was fortunate enough to get admission into this college. I would recommend this college if your rank is between 1.5lakh and above. This is the best college you will get in this rank in terms of placements . But I would still suggest trying for outr or vssut burla.

Faculty

3

The faculty to students ratio is about 1:40(approx) All the faculty that are assigned to us are very friendly and interactive and teach in very effective way especially subject like physics and electrical. Basically it depends upon you how much you can absorb knowledge from them and it may very for other. You have to give two internals every semister that are quite easy and then you will have your pratical and end semester exam which is a bit difficult as the question paper is set by bput. But even if everything is good you shouldn't expect much it may be better than some college but it is not the best.

Night Life

3

There are many places you can vist like waterfalls, famous temples , shopping malls, etc You would not get gym ascess in first year but you can get it for second year onwards. The closing of time for 1st year hostel is 6.30 pm and for 2nd year onwards it is extended upto 8.30 pm. Famous hangout place would be near waterfall in day time and in campus in night time to be on a safer side

Stduents get eligible from 5th semester for placements peaking at 6th semester of the college. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Tiger Analytics etc came but big pacakge placements offers are low . The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
