The campus is well maintained and is clean
Teachers are willing to give individual attention if needed
Above average food is provided in canteen

Dislikes

Lack of campus life as college is strict
Majority of the staff members are the type to hold a grudge against you
Spoon feeding students and not allowing them to think and improvise accordingly

Personally I didn't apply for any other colleges other than mar baselios. Because my entrance score was too low. But I regret taking admission for engineering in this particular college for a number of reasons. Admission process for mar baselios is fairly simple. You've to crack the KEAM entrance test or get a fairly decent score in the JEE exams and you can register for this college

good for studies not for campus life

Likes

teachers are well qualified and helping too. we doesnt really need to be afraid in talking to teachers regarding anything.

Dislikes

college is very strict. we have to ask permission for literally everything. it is just like a school.
hostel is also very strict , there is a time curfew that is 6.30 everyday after that you cant go out. on saturday and sunday we can only go out from 12.30 to 6.30 only. this is like the worse timing i have ever known.
cultural events and fest are very less, as far as i know there is only 1 good fest which is crossroads

Admission:

i tried to get into govt colleges but with my keam rank i couldnt get into any govt colleges in CSE or ECE . so i came here. this college offers half seat based on keam and rest half on management seats.

Facilities - Sports, Arts, Clubs for various activities and departments
Teaching - one of the best faculty out there

I got 10512 rank in Keam 2024 entrance exam so my first choice was MBCET in my hometown, I luckily got that and by gods grace to study in this college, The admission process was so easy that everything was through online including uploading the most important documents

Good college

Likes

This college is an autonomous based college. Thereby the paper corrections are done by own faculty.
Lots of options available for minor courses. Placements are guaranteed.
Infrastructures are good. Huge basketball court etc. Lots of computer labs.

Dislikes

The college fests are activities are less compared to other colleges. only one huge fest known as crossroads.
Once entered in college you can't leave till the college ends.
More over strictness in everything ,attendance is more important than anything

Admission:

I choose this college beacuse this is my native place. My family belongs here. I got admission in srm instituion in chennai for engineering. Mar baselious provides best placements. Companies like infosys ,ust approch our college.

The college has a proper planning and every thing follows the academic calander
Provide more exposure compared to other management colleges
Being an autonomous institution,the syllabus is made in such a way that the gap between studies and working is reduced

Dislikes

Cultural events are less...needs to bring more of it
More strict compared to govt colleges...

I had applied for saitgaits,amal jyothi and cet. Considering cet,the fee and placements are high but the discipline and structured way is lacking.Now considering saintgaits and amal jyothi,there are more opportunities in mbcet to explore.. mbcet is also in the town and easily approachable via public transport.mbcet has a disciplined approach to studies.comparing the hostels too mbcet has one of the best hostels. I was rejected in cet for cs dept as i didnt aquire the required rank..i was accepted in both others but decided to join mbcet due to its status in society. The admission process is purely based on keam rank.keam and jee are accepted..the cut off marks for cs dept was 9000 in 2023.the admission experience is very easy and structured properly

Likes

The decorum and discipline that college holds
The faculties with a great heart to help and support atudents
Beautuful campus and infrastructure with high facilities

Dislikes

Very difficult to go out of the campus even in emergency times.
Laboratory equipments are not that good.
Uniform is very compulsory in holidays too.

Admission:

I also applied for cet, trivandrum, tkm kollam and rajagiri ernakulam. The reason i didnt got there was first my entrance rank. But still i was able to get through it on second or third allotments, but as i got here first and i was satisfied with it due to many reasons. The admission process here was partially by the merit quota procedures and the college was efficient in doing the remaining.

Techers and teaching are very nice and good
Facilities provided is better as compared to another colleges

The main thing i choosed mbt was the techers and tecahing.and another main thing is sports.how mbt encouraged sports.my college provides ascpcts to develop skills that are needed for placements rather than another colleges.provides many opportunities for students.

Likes

Very good teachers and they are honest and they always envourages us to study.
Not that much strict but they always have an eye on us .
Sports and extracurricular activites are more promoted and learning

Dislikes

Programs and fests are comparatively less
Washrooms are not that much good it is so small not enough space
If we have to move out of college during class time or any circumstances there are so much things to do like slips and all that is very irritating sometimes.

The campus is really good and spacious.Most faculty are well behaved
Cafeterias and canteens are good.They also have a big library
Inclusion of extra curricular activities like sports and athletics are present

Dislikes

Most of the Lab sessions are really mediocre
Some faculty may not be very good at teaching
This college is run like a school which includes wearing a uniform and being very strict for the smallest things.We have to fill certain forms for the simplest of things

I couldn't get into the college I wanted to because I didn't get adequate marks for the subject I wanted in that college and had to join through NRI admission so I had to choose this college.For NRI admission you only need your class 12 certificate and for management and merit admission you would need 10th,12th and your keam marklists

The Reality of MBCET

Likes

Infrastructure and Environment of the college. The way the management maintaining the college environment is appreciable.
The faculties are really hardworking and the have good interactions with the students.
The college have an amazing library with lots of books based on curriculum and have a collection of professional magazines. Library also had a e-resources as well.

Dislikes

Sometimes the discipline and strict are too much which spoils the college life.
Unnecessary interference of college management in College events and fest spoil its spirit. Irrelevant rules and regulations are implementing in these events.
Restrictions on the college canteens and cafeterias are the worst part of management interference

Actually my ranks on entrance exams are bit low. I wont get admissions on the top ranked Government colleges of my state. The college I am studying now is an autonomous college. It is a well reputed college in the state. I took several opinions from the alumnies of this college before joining. Campus placement is guarenteed in this college if you dont have any backlogs. The infrastructure and the environment of the college is really nice. Thats why I choose this college. For admission there are three gateways; Government merit seat, Management merit seat and NRI quota. I got admission here in the management merit seat. This college is one of the top ranked autonomous college.
