The Indian MIT

Since it is located in the rural town of manipal, the air quality is nice
It is mainly a college city so all the activities around are kept in consideration with the students in mind

The connectivity is a little bit of an issue since the flights are only to major cities
The rains. It rains a lot during the monsoons and sometimes it is unbearable

Companies come for internships starting from 5 sem. This time companies like UBER had come giving a stipend of 150000 per month . They take their own exams after which there are thorough interview rounds. But not a lot of students get these offers.

Journey to mit manipal

I liked the campus and the culture around very much and the facilities the college is providing.
Labs and the academic section is well maintained and very professional.

Teaching all subjects in the first year.
75% attendance criteria is kind of worst

Placement Experience:

Placement of our college is quite imressive and growing eventually. Beside Placement college also gives funding for good business ideas to the future entrepreneurs. Most of them get placed and most go for higher studies

MIT, the pet college you found

best campus and library .. culture around
nice student crowd and best climate around

nothing there such to dislike but mostly raining
the only concern is about 75% attendence

You find best internship opportunities at Manipal. We get internships around in Microsoft Google, Infosys and Tech Mahindra. There is an incubator where there are more than thousand start-ups on campus which is called IC. It terms as innovation Centre, their people find their internships.

MIT Manipal: An overview

The campus is beautiful with amazing infrastructure and facilities
The faculty know their subjects well and are able to tech them

No holidays on saturdays and the timetable is too hectic

For placements at MIT Manipal, you could include the following details: 1. Eligibility for Campus Placements: At MIT Manipal, students typically become eligible for placements from the sixth semester. Various training sessions are conducted to prepare students for the process. 2. Companies Visiting Campus: Top companies like Microsoft, Google, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Amazon, and Deloitte visit MIT Manipal for placements. On average, over 200 companies participate in the recruitment drive annually. 3. Package Details: The highest package in recent years has been around INR 44 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum), while the average package remains at about INR 8-9 LPA. Companies offer roles in software engineering, data science, consulting, and core engineering fields. MIT Manipal consistently maintains a placement rate above 90%, with several branches achieving 100% placements for eligible students. I plan to go for a master's degree after graduation.

Manipal institute of technology review

There is a lot of exposure and less striction. Hostel intimes is 10:30 for 1st year and 11:30 for 2nd,3rd and 4th year.
Courses are relevant to current time and interesting

Hilly areas and distance from hostel to academic block is a lot and the gold cart service is not free and expensive

Campus placement is so so. There are lot of good companies that visit MIT manipal, which includes Uber, Goldman Sachs, western digital corps, Accenture, ITC, Nvidia. Even for internships there are many good companies that visit. Placement packages offered is usually ranging from 9lpa to 41 lpa

MIT Manipal - Better than you think

Good infrastructure such as labs and academic blocks
Opportunities for doing research papers and internships are available.

The professor’s way of teaching is not consistent across branches.
Academic fees and hostel fees increase every few years.

Internship opportunities are provided from third year onwards in the campus. You can approach professors for the same and they will guide you. There are many conferences held by various companies like Microsoft from time to time.

Good environment and culture, everybody is from good families, and passionate about studies. So there is a good study culture, every body has different aspirations
Green and huge campus, it has almost all the facilities and manipal campus is very green snd beautiful, good scenic views, safety is also taken care of.

Rains a lot in Manipal, it actually causes wet floors
I disliked the fact that we need to walk a lot or otherwise spend 30 rupees to reach the student block from hostel via an e cab, otherwise a 16-18 mins walk

Students sre eligible for placements from the third year itself if their internships get converted to PPO And everyone is placed its just that packages vary I suppose almost 7 people got 54 lpa last year and otherwise top 250 students got 30 lpa avg package which is very good according to me Placement drive is fully fledgedly run in the final year only, there is no concept of dream package, id yoh appesr for a company and get selected you have only option to quit from the drive.

Manipal "the city within the campus"

The things i appreciate the most are the environment in my college, development of the campus and the city overall. The college library has all the books readily available to us.
The campus of MIT is a small town in itself we can get everything inside the campus itself without having to step out. The campus spreads across 300+ acres with unimaginable views.

The major aspect of MIT that needs improvement is the student teacher realtionship development. Tho the professors are helpful and understanding but sometimes they lack the interest of understanding a students problem.
Even when there are many companies coming in for placement most of them are not interested in the harware background engineering but on the software background which makes it very unbiased.

Manipal offers students with various intership oppertunities to develop their skills and showcase the real world where students can apply their knowledge. Companies that offered intershis are- 1. Amazon- Software engineer intern offering 50000PM stipend. It focuses of front end and back end development of their systems. 2. Google- offering 100000PM stipend for a role of Intern software engineer. it requires fluency in C++, JAVA, HTML> 3. Uber- It offered 180000PM stipend for back end developers

Should you choose MIT Manipal?

Very student friendly time table. The surroundings are perfect for students who want a perfect balance of both curricular and co curricular activities. Tons of things to do here and many beautiful natural places to see which will blow your mind.
Classrooms have amazing facilities and good air conditioning making it comfortable and better for students to learn in class much better. The library has many study halls enough to fit in a lot of students to study in.

Some teachers but not all, a very few are extremely great with their knowledge on the subject but are also bad at teaching and the changing of teachers is not possible. But ofcourse most teachers are amazing and teach exceptionally well.
No proper parking facilities for students who stay outside and have to come to college in their own vehicles as the parking lot is very muddy and filled with puddles. Parking facilities have to be improved for the students indeed.

Students are eligible for placement from the 8th senester though they can apply for internships from the 5th onwards which helps them improve academically and professionally. As microsoft CEO Satya Nadela is a notabke alumni of MIT the company often visits for placements and tends to give the highest placements to the students in the college. Over 220 recruiters come to the campus for placements and propose various placements and manipal has 93 percentage placement rate in 2022-2023 and 74 percentage placement rate in 2023-2024. The highest package offered was 51.03LPA and the lowest package accepted was 10.49 LPA. My plans after getting the degree is mainly to work in the placement that i get hopefully for a few yesrs then plan for a masters or mba within those 3 years and move to that feild as it will help my career bloom within years making me more financially stable and secure.
