Malla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology (MRCET), established in 2004, is a private autonomous Institute. It is approved by AICTE, Government of India, and affiliated to JNTUH, Hyderabad. It is a constituent college of Malla Reddy Group of Institutions (MRGI). The college is accredited by the NBA Tier-1 and NAAC ‘A’ Grade. It is also recognized by the UGC. The college is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Institution.
MRCET offers UG (B.Tech), PG (M.Tech, MBA), and Phd courses. Admission is given based on the state entrance exam. In 2024, MRCET Hyderabad was ranked at 155 out of 284 colleges by India Today for its B.Tech program, which is also the flagship course of the institute. Eligibility for admission in the B.Tech course is 10+2 + TS EAMCET. The annual fees for the B.Tech courses are INR 1,20,000 per annum.
As per the placement report of the year 2022, students of MRCET got more than 2000 offers, and more than 60 recruiters participated in the placement drive. The highest package was INR 30 LPA CTC, and the average package was INR 5 LPA CTC.

MRCET Admissions 2025
MRCET Admissions are made along with the other engineering colleges in the state through a common entrance test conducted by the Government of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh.
- 70 % of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Telengana /Andhra Pradesh.
- 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.
- In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in second year of B.Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under lateral entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Telengana / Andhra Pradesh.

MRCET Scholarship 2025
MRCET students can avail scholarships through Telangana Epass. The Telangana Epass purpose is to give Scholarships for poor students in all categories like OC, SC, ST, BC, PWD etc. Each student's parents’ income should be below 2 LPA, except for the OC / General category, where the income needs to be less than 1 LPA.
As per our research in the year 2018, students got merit-based scholarships, freeships ranging from INR 10,000 to INR 60,000.

Hostel: Separate Hostel Buildings for Girls & Boys are available. It is a walled campus hostel with a single entry and 24-hour security. Has facilities such as Wi-Fi, a purified water plant, a TV room, and housekeeping service.
Library: The Library provides IP-based access to more than 20,000 e-books, 59,000 e-journals, and 14,000 videos on various disciplines of engineering and management. E-Resources can be accessed through the College Website. The library also has 50 PCs exclusively devoted to browsing e-resources.
