Eligibility Criteria

Completed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board with individually pass in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Technical Vocational subjects. A minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B / PwD) marks is mandatory.
For Lateral Entry: The candidate must pass Diploma in Engineering / Technology from an AICTE approved institution with at least 45% (40% for SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B / PwD) marks or equivalent CGPA.

Course Details

KGEC, Nadia offers UG courses in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Information Technology.

The undergraduate students (B.Tech.) of this college are admitted from the WB Joint Entrance Examination (WB-JEE).

Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board with individually pass in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and must have a valid score card of WBJEE.

Candidates will be invited for counselling procedure as per ranks secured by them. The WBJEE Counselling will start in the month of June. Counselling schedule will be published on the official website of the authority.

B.Tech. courses have provision of 20% lateral entry at the second year level from WB Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET). JELET Entrance Examination for admission into the 2nd Year (3rd Semester) of four years Bachelor Degree Courses in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy.

How to Apply for UG in KGEC?

Visit the official website and click on the registration button.
Enter the personal details including phone number and Email ID. A registration number will be received with a password at the Email ID.
Click on the link which will lead to the application form. Enter the personal and academic details
Upload the passport size photograph (size: 3 to 300 kb) with signature (3 to 30 kb).
Pay the application fee online and submit the application fee. For General candidates, the application fee is INR 700/- for General, EWS category and INR 500/- for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B candidates
Retain the hard copy print of the submitted application form

After candidates get their rank cards after WBJEE/WBJELET examination they need to participate in the respective counseling procedures

The insight Review

Likes

The college environment and facilities were very nature pushing and calming
In this college you will get to spend a quality time with friends because the social interaction are very willed as well

Dislikes

There could might be a problematic situation for the people who doesn't knows Bengali, because the environment is fully Bengali oriented
Major city place is quite far away from the located situation of college but the city is very good for experiencing new things

Fees and Financial Aid:

Fees depends upon which stream which you got selected for example if you are in CSE department it is 6000 per Sem and for IT it is 12000 per Sem, while for other streams core branches it is 3000 per Sem and for Electronics it is 6000 per Sem

Good College with some catch

Likes

Teachers who were involved in Research have knowledge enough and are very helpful.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The best thing about this college is that it provides halfship and freeship to eligible students and therefore it increases affordability. But again comparing to CSE, the CSE fees are half of that of IT. like why????? Same College Same Subject Same everything then why?

COLLEGE GIRLS, GIRLS HOSTEL IS NEAR TO BOYS HOSTEL, CAMPUS LIBRARY.

DAILY CLASSES, HOSTEL MEAL, ROADS INSIDE CAMPUS

Fees and Financial Aid:

Being an Government Engineering College Fees hike policy is not applicable here. But the fees can be reduced to some extent if you apply for Students Freeship Scheme. During this engineering course students can avail several types of scholarships including Oasis, svmcm, aikashree etc.
