Hostel Facilities:

One of the best things of college are our hostel and it's mess. It is not like what you heard at from others about hostel's and mess. You will get a good food and workers are also friendly in nature. Hostel total have 4 floors(including ground) and on one floor approx 75 students are staying.

Affordability of course is very impressive involving tuition fees, hostel fees, mess fees, everything is cheap compared to other colleges.

Hostel Facilities:

Hostel facility our college is very good except for the fact that the rooms are little small for 4 students to share. However overall it's a great experience in our hostel as there are lot of fun here. Mess food is also very good with vast options. With different items whole day for a week. Also hostel and mess fees is very cheap they are Rs. 14000/- and Rs. 40000/- respectively for a year.

A brief intro to my college, IET Lucknow

Hostel Facilities:

Room provided to us is properly maintained except there are some cracks on floors and some parts of walls. Also the walls of the rooms are needed to be painted. If you are opting for hostel in First Year you will have to share your room with 3 other students. Also there are only three cuboids/almirah which means the four students will have to share it among them. Meal quality that we are being provided by is very good and it's taste is also good. Their main focus is on hygiene and taste as well as providing nutrition to students. Menu also gets updated every month making sure that no item is being repeated for twice a week. Registration for hostel admission can be done at the time of physical reporting of counselling process of college admission after its admission is done. However the hostel is provided on the first come first get basis.

The hostel rooms have basic equipment like every other hostel. IET Lucknow has 2 hostels named Ramanujam and Aryabhatt. The maintenance is better in the former hostel. The rooms here are equipped with the following:

The rooms are suitable for 4 students for all 1st-year students. Each student will get a bed made out of plywood.
4 sets of almirah spacious enough each for one student.

The hostels at IET Lucknow are State government-funded. It is the same as the college hostels. The hostel and bedrooms can be made amazing by looking and focusing more on the maintenance standards of the hostel. However, it has been observed that a newly constructed hostel has been inaugurated and it is in much better conditions.

In terms of mess facility, it is a private cum cooperative basis. The mess accounting is being done by the student head of the hostel called as Mess secretary. The mess service is pretty much good. The menu is as per the students.

There is just one problem that students face the most is the poorly maintained washrooms. The internet facility is also good. Other than these, the hostel is fine.

It's good because you get to learn a lot from each other and you enjoy the first and second year. You can even work seriously on some of your projects. Most of all, you can make some good friends.

However, if you are not comfortable you can seek a PG to stay in. From the third year, you will have two people in one room. There are some cons but do remember the advantages of staying at the college hostel.

It is up to you, what kind of person you are and how comfortable you are with others.

Ramanujam Hostel is one of the best of all. You will get 24*7 electricity and a water supply. It is a 4-floor structure with the ground, 1st and 2nd floor accommodating 4 students each in one room while the topmost floor accommodates 3 students.

In rare circumstances, if your luck favors and any allotment remains vacant you may get a triple sharing room. You may change your room if you like on certain special circumstances such as medical but there is no guarantee that you will get triple, double, or single sharing rooms.

You can also access files up to some TB from the server. The internet service is available 24*7. You can easily surf web series, movies and etc without any buffer in high quality. Sometimes there is a bit of lag while watching any web series but then it rectifies automatically to ensure your carefree binging.

One of my friends studied at IET Lucknow and availed the hostel. According to him the college campus and the ambiance is really good.

The hostel on the campus consists of a bed, tube light, table, and a fan.
Rest of the things you will have to purchase by yourself. Like the bedding materials, pillow, mattress, bed table, almirahs and many more.
There is one online portal named Rent le where you will find all these materials and furniture.
They will deliver at your doorstep and your tedious task of purchasing from the market and bringing it to the hostel room will get reduced.
Also, the prices of all the products in the portal are quite reasonable.
All you need to log in to the page and customize your offerings, they will deliver it to the hostel gate.
Although the first-year rooms are very good, you just need to make little adjustments for this.

Apart from the basic necessities, the hostels have a good electrical supply, the washrooms are clean, the college Wi-Fi also provides good speed as well. The mess food is hygienic and you will find that the food tastes like home-cooked food. The mess hall is fully air conditioned as well.
