One of my friends studied at IET Lucknow and availed hostel facilities. Let me share the information I gathered from him, which might help you make your choice. Here are some of these factors you might want to consider:

The electric supply is mainly synchronized with Jankipuram, the specific area where the institute is fundamentally located.
The supply can range to almost 23 to 24 hours in winter, and 22 hours in the summertime.
Apart from that, water is supplied to the hostels through a tube bell which is essentially only slotted for IET Lucknow.
For winters, there is a provision of Geyser facilities.
The provision of western bathrooms is conditioned only during the first year, following which students have to again use the old system attached to their rooms.
The wifi usually is provided via personal network systems for the new hostel for the first-year students.
The major upside is that the LAN facility is extremely advantageous. You can experience high-speed internet nonetheless.
The messes, at least most of them, are typically air-conditioned.
You have the liberty to choose the delicacies that you prefer via the mess representative.
The food facilities that can be availed in the c-block (mess) are overwhelming.
