Ques. What is the difference between BCA (Regular) and BCA (Lateral Entry) at GGI?
Ans. The regular BCA is a 3-year program (6 semesters) starting from 1st year after 10+2, while the Lateral Entry program is a 2-year program (4 semesters) starting directly from 2nd year for diploma holders. The lateral entry route saves one year and is ideal for students who already hold a Diploma in Computer Science or IT and want to upgrade to a full bachelor's degree.
Ques. Which diploma qualifications are eligible for BCA Lateral Entry at GGI?
Ans. Diploma holders in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Applications, and related branches are eligible. A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying diploma is required. Students with relevant technical qualifications from recognised polytechnics or boards are also considered.

University examination fees are payable separately as per IKG PTU guidelines.
