Review of GEC-Patan

Likes

The placement of college is good and the infrasrtucture is good
The atmospehre of collge is good and natural
The study of college is good and classroom is also good

Dislikes

The student make massbunk and bunk the class
The behavior of some faculty are not good

Placement Experience:

from semester 6 students eligible for campus placements the multiple companies visited like the TCS package of 25lakh/y, torrent power,adani power, ThirdRock, Tatvsoft, Nxon, Techsture etc 70-80 students get placement from college in the computer stream my plan after getting my degree is to take the placement.

The campus life is really going giving all the chanc for grouth
The faculty are really well qualified and experienced .
The faculty learning style is really good and also motivated all stundent.

Dislikes

The student tent to bunk class that to insists for mass bunk.
Assigment submission are really tedious.
Canteen food is not up to the mark for stundent

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in the construction line and I have selected civil engineering, In college all the faculties are really very inspiring and motivating. All the faculties are post-graduated, and class-3 officer posts. And the faculty's teaching style is really good.

There are many companies visiting for campus placement like Tatvsoft, ICS, Shaligram, SKH, Cybercom Creation, Esparkbiz, and many more best companies. They provide 3LPA to 5 LPA packages as per your talent and skill. More than 50% of students get placement on college campuses.

Life of GEC

Likes

Truly like my college and my college friends because they give me good environment.
Faculty members is good and they created helpful environment.
Class rooms and hall generally college building is good.

Dislikes

My college is spotted in ruler area called katpur so we are facing updown problem.
Generally exam time is difficult for students.
Some of students are updown from different district.

Placement Experience:

The college placement is different in all departments the computer engineering department has a high placement every year in my department 7-10 companies are invited by the college and they give a chance 20-30 students. 30% placement opportunities in my department.

Placement Experience:

Government College of engineering patan does provide on-campus placements but it is not up to the mark as it should be many big fortune companies like Google and Samsung do not come here for placement but also such well-known companies like tcs do come here for campus recruitment still avg package is of 3lpa.

Is gec patan really a good

Likes

Faculty of the college are really friendly
Campus is really green feels very natural
Every class has projectors which operates efficiently.

Dislikes

Feels like we are between a jungle. Very bad
College is not very study oriented which affects your studies deally bad.

Placement Experience:

After the 5th semester placement starts in the college. There is around a 3.5 lpa avg in the college.The highest package 5lpa is offered and the lowest is 1.5lpa.To be honest you should try for off-campus placements more it can provide you with really good opportunities.

Liked the college campus having 100+ Trees and natural environment
I liked the level of knowledge of professor and some are very supportive
I liked the placement opportunities in college

Dislikes

I didn't like the partial clubs like NSS in college

Placement Experience:

Form semester 6 you can appear in placement Saligram, Valens, etc (local tech companies from Ahmedabad) More than 20 companies visit for placement. 80% of students are placed and the rest are having different plans like master's. I will go for UPSC after engineering The highest package is 7 LPA

Likes

Placement of this college is good and many wellknown companies visits this college.
Faculties are very friendly and they are well educated so that teaching level is best.
NSS groups and events makes campus vibrant and enjoyable.

Dislikes

There is not any canteen facility so it is quite challenging.

Placement Experience:

After completing 6th sem means 3rd year you are eligible for sitting in the placement. In 2021-22 almost 77% of students of cse are placed. Infosys, Shaligram Infotech, WeblineIndia, Maruti Techlabs, Monarch, and many more companies arrived in our college with good package offers. I want to complete my M.tech in computer science after completing my B.tech.

I would like culture and entertainment of college
I like infrastructure which was old but amazing
I like faculty and their behaviour with students

Dislikes

I don't like some faculty as my personal experience
College doesn't have canteen facility , due to corona i was closed

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to become a programmer that's why I choose computer science and engineering. have 1 mentor faculty around 25 students. All facilities are qualified for master and government entrance exams. 2 exams were conducted in a single term it was tough.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semesters students are eligible to sit in college placement. There are a minimum of 75 companies visiting for placement every year there is a minimum of 100 to 120 offers made every year. The highest package is 4.8 lakhs and the minimum package is 3 lakhs. Minimum 7cgpa is needed for the placement After getting my degree I will choose a further master's degree.
