Honest review if you wanna opt for this college

Likes

The girls to boy ratios is good, we get to see all girls equal contributing in the college
The faculty is good, they are very helpful and give good guidance
The boys and girls common room is good to get together with friends to chill and study

Dislikes

Faculty being good they are sassy and might ignore for a time to teach you that not everything will be entertained
The principal is kinda rude and his speech is too long
Well other activities like sports isn't support properly

See to be really honest i only opted for 2 colleges that is fr agnels and lokmaanya tilak i choose fr agnels because its best in vashi and tilak cause its close to my house so i don't have to do much traveling I got accepted in both at first for extc but i rejected the tilak and confirmed the seat in agnels as its way better than tilak also i later applied fot cs in agnels and got accepted in it as well Talking about my admission process the process was smooth, i missed on many documents but they were calm and with a smile said this things happen but we are ready for it gave us direction towards a particular sir, after that the sir helped us yo download the document and gave us multiple prints that too free so they were very very helpful in admission process giving us a good experience and at the same time a relief was there seeing how good management of college is as we took admission there! I got admission on my cet based, most of the student there came by giving cet that is common entrance test and a very few people got admission giving jee so ill definitely say go for cet instead of jee The cutoff was fair for each course and we students were happy as well!

The labs are maintained and various facilities provided
The clg is now autonomous and thus have an improved coursework.
Various club opportunities are there in which you can enter.

Dislikes

Only a handful of professors are really good at teaching
Not much supportive to other competitive exam such as GATE.

Admission:

I didn't apply to other colleges as I had already decided to apply for this clg as this clg is the best one in the whole Navi Mumbai and Panvel. For admission, CET is required after 12th grade and for diploma students, cutoff is based on the aggregate of last year diploma. Got the admission in 1st CAP round.

The college has mostly local people and marsthi speaking people atleast in my branch. There are majorly Malayalam people in comps department. The staffs and favukties are marathis mostly and christians.
The campus is totally ragging free. In my 2yrs of experience never i have seen any ragging case for me or heard about any in the past or during my course time, the seniors are very good and helpfull towards the juniors .
The campus is pretty good with trees and cool breeze and commute is also good as it is just 10 mins drive from vashi station and 2 mins drive from vashi bus depot.

Dislikes

The faculties are good but only a few of them, 60% of them just come and read out the ppts on the projector.
There is a huge amount of lectures. Even after having mechanical as my branch i am busy in the lectures rather than any labs or practicals
There is no good fests here, the faces and etamax is all boring and they take money from you only to participate in the event and there is a criteria that u need to compulsory take part in in.

Admission:

The eligibility was cet and jee marks based only. The last round cutoff for this college in mechanical was around 80%ile in mhtcet. But it was higher than 95%ile in comps for general. The admission process was easy just bring a cheque and fill up few forms and give documents and done. I had choosen many other colleges over this i even got accepted in mit wpu and talen admission but i am a local mumbai person and i woshed to stay here so i gave up that admission. I also didnt get admission in the crce bandra due to only a small difference in the cutoff. And i had no idea about the ACAP rounds. I understood about acap and tried taking admission in vesit chembur in robotics but idk i changed my mind and stayed in fcrit because i thought i dont like coding at all and thus staying in core mechanical would help me sustain my engineering life.

Reputation of the college matches it's expectations. You'll never feel ashamed to take your college name and it is one of the best engineering colleges under University of Mumbai.
Sports , Our college also encourages students for sports. This college has the best team and and people for the particular sport in the entire university.
The teaching methods are not very old school but technical. Teachers often seems to connect students personally rather than just teaching.

Dislikes

Limited college Campus. The campus isn't like The movie "student of the year" but is very limited. It's just your college building , canteen and hostel .
Conserved student environment. Yet this is the first year but Students are still not ready to open for new friendship and rather prefer staying alome
No regular Fests, This college does fest only twice a year and that for only 7-10 days but on regular days there will not be any events or programs so somewhere we feel left out.

Admission:

Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues Institute of Technology, Vashi has always been a Name in itself . This was one of the most reputated colleges in Mumbai as well as Navi Mumbai. Also , Sports section of this college was also very promotive. Students can get addmission here via MHT CET Cap round held after every CET examination Or via Management seats . But competition for both increases year by year

Location of washroom is at extreme end of the building
College is strict and you have to follow rule very strictly
Main office of the college is in main building.

There are three methods for admission 1. From first year admission based on cet score. 2. Direct second year admission through cap round after diploma in engineering 3. And last one Is offline admission (donation)

Things I like such as they provide a lot of competition opportunities to students to enhance their skills
It's travel friendly means you have very much travel option available from which you can reach college
They provide placement training opportunities to students

Dislikes

They have prayer in the morning to which we have to present if not then they make us wait for 15 min I don't like this it feels like school
Once I taken book from library and forget to return it and return after 5 days they have policy that u have to renew book after every week if u have taken otherwise u will have to pay fine , for this I have exams and forget to renew they charged fine
At any event they make compulsory to participate if we don't participate then they fine us , I feel irritated I have don't interest in events then to we have to participate.

In my case i have done diploma and taken admission as direct second year so at my time corona was going on so we have given exam online so cutoff was slightly high ,at my time for direct second year cutoff was 90.25 percentage.but I have checked when offline exam were done so cutoff was 87 percentage

Exploring the Central Jail of Vashi: FCRIT

Likes

College Infrastructure. It's really good. Benches are good. Sitting space is good. Class size is medium compared to other clgs who have 120 sitting in a classroom.
Technical Clubs. They are really good if you find yourself a place to join
Not all but some prof help u throughout .

Dislikes

Strictness. College feels more like a school
Events. The events organised by clg are compulsory to attend since they are bad except for dj night which is good compared to other events
Writeup completions. A lot of writing work is given

Admission:

The entrance exam to get this clg is MHTCET and it also has institute level exam. It is a minority college for Christians so almost 60% seats of Computer and IT areas filled by them. Comps and IT cutoff gets around 96%ile to 92%ile whereas EXTC cutoff goes around 84%ile.

Likes

Everyday in our college there is assembly where all the students and teachers of degrees and Diploma gather together and pray to god.
All the teacher staff is so cooperative in our college helps in every thing.
And in my campus life I have got good friends to chill with

Dislikes

Sometimes during rainy season and exams season still they have assembly.
College timing till 5 is so hectic from 8:30.
Every next day there is some or other exam.

Admission:

This college cutoff is based on mht cet exam and jee exam. For MHT CET the cutoff for my year was the 94 percentile. The application process is simple you just have to visit the mahacet website where you have to fill out the form and by completing a payment of 900 to 1000rs you will get one unique number which you have to use for a later time. Once you get a seat in college you have to visit the College and from there you have to get the form from the cash counter you have to fill that out and submit your documents along with the form then your admission will be confirmed.
