Assam Engineering College Guwahati Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

It's the top college runned by state government of Assam. Also it is the oldest college of North East India. Plus it's near my home. There is ease of mode of transportation and the college campus is really nice.

Interested in engineering, so took up admission here. Close to my housez good faculty and a lot of possibilities for self development, both technically and personally. Brings about the sportsman in me by bringing the various sports events to join in.

Since Assam Engineering College is the first state government college in the entire North East India that's why AEC is in my 1st preference. Also when I search about the alumni of this College then I got to know that many engineers passed out from AEC are currently working in many Multi National and International companies. Also some of them are running their own startups.

Since Assam Engineering College is one of the oldest colleges in Assam, the infrastructure is poor. The buildings are old,the laboratory materials are not good, bathrooms are not well maintained and same goes for the hostels too,wi-fi doesn't work properly, sports materials are not good. And regarding hygienty in hostels, it is really poor.

Firstly, AEC comes under the most prestigious state government Engineering College. The academic curriculum, the overall campus placements, and the fact that most branches are under the National Board of Accreditation(NBA),makes the college worth the choice. My branch, Chemical Engineering, which also comes under NBA, is the reason why I decided to shift from Jorhat to Guwahati. Not among the core branches, yet a branch with future prospectives, chemical engineering is what I always wanted.

I have interest on electricity from childhood onwards. So, I opt for electrical engineering in this college. And this is the best college as per my choice after IIT and NIT. It's course fees also affordable as per my family income.

Because I have not qualified for IIT or NIT and I wanted to Persue Engineering from Reputed Engineering College. Assam Engineering College is the 1st and the most dynamic College In Assam.

I also appear for the JEE examination but I couldn't crack it. Then, I appear for the CEE examination and got selected. As it is one of the prestigious college in our state. So, I decided to take admission into this college. Also, our college is near from our home.

I always wanted to study Civil engineering on my school days. After I have come to know that best faculty teachers are available in Assam Engineering Institute, so I took admission in the college and I was luck enough to get enrollment in the said institute.
