The campus is beautiful as well as the campus life
The infrastructure of the college is being upgraded to match the new standards of engineering colleges.
The course is well designed and the faculties are more or less helpful
Dislikes
The infrastructure of the labs need a upgrade very quick.
The library staffs are a bit arrogant and the library itself needs a upgrade asap.
Placement Experience:
The college does provide campus placements and students become eligible for placements for the seventh semester itself. In the electrical branch, a lot of companies visited last year like Ashok Leyland, tata power etc along with PSUs. Last year's placements were very good with nearly 75-80% being placed. The highest package offered was by OIL of 17 LPA and the average is 3.5 LPA. I also plan to sit for campus placements and secure myself a job from the college placements itself.
The campus is beautiful and the environment is really pretty and friendly.
There is almost no case of ragging.
The professors are really responsible and held the student in every possible way.
Dislikes
Some of the infrastructures are not complete.
Placement Experience:
Campus interview starts in the 7th semester. The final-year students can sit for the campus placement interviews. Almost 10-12 companies come for the placement drive and a few of them are PSUs. If companies like OIL and IOCL recruit then the package is offered up to 10lakh per annum. Out of 100 students, 35-40 students get placed. After getting the degree I might end up taking a Mtech course.
First and oldest engineering college of North east India. Good placement record plus 4 years cost is equal to IITs and NiTs one semester fees. Cracked cee and not JEE adv. The location of the college is at the main capital city of assam and easy access. Where NIt silchar is at a location where access by road is hectic and by train it is unpredictable during monsoon when will there be an landslide.
AEC is the first engineering of Assam, and of the most reputable one. Tuition fees is very affordable, especially compared all the other engineering colleges of these days, and the placement scenario is pretty good as well.
