AISSMSCOE M.Tech FAQs
Ques. Is GATE mandatory for admission to M.Tech Structural Engineering at AISSMS COE Pune?
Ans. GATE score is mandatory for admission through the CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds conducted by DTE Maharashtra. However, if seats remain vacant after all CAP rounds, the college conducts an institute-level round where non-GATE candidates may also be considered. That said, GATE-qualified candidates are strongly preferred and have a significant advantage in the merit list. Additionally, GATE-qualified students admitted through CAP are eligible for the SPPU monthly stipend, making it financially beneficial to appear for GATE.

(Structural Engineering), but it is widely recognized and equivalent to M.Tech for all practical purposes including government jobs, PSU recruitment, and higher studies.
