The environment and weather is definitely a pro.
Staff and faculty are not too stringent.

Dislikes

The city of nagercoil isn’t a very well developed one.
Patients can sometimes be from malayalam speaking areas.

You need NEET to get into medicine and colleges are based on your rank. I could have chosen thoothukudi but i went with kanyakumari mainly due to the environment of the college , weather . The campus overall looked more green and inviting. Admission is based on counselling , cpuld be tamil nadu counselling or all india counselling depending on from where you are . A day or two will have to be spent on admission where forms will have to be filled , physical checkups are done and certain agreements have to be signed.

Good teaching buy facilities and good infrastructure for class rooms ( fully air conditioning available)

Dislikes

Class starts very early not like other medical Colleges,it can start at 9.00 am
Some departments are not very student friendly

Admission:

*I applied to all the old government colleges in Tamil Nadu like MMC, Stanley, madurai, tirunelveli etc....because they are old and will have better facilities *I got transferred from Dindugal medical College,I preferred Kanyakumari as it is a old college and comparatively it has many advantages and seniors *NEET UG for mbbs admission and appropriate scores to secure seats in government medical Colleges

The climate is a thing and it is so good .
Good faculties who are capable to provide quality education
Interaction between the juniors and seniors are appreciated

Dislikes

Some lectures are not up to the level bit the clinical teaching is nice

Admission:

The admission is purely through the counseling conducted by both state government and the Indian government ie through state quota and all India quota respectively. It is based on NEET UG marks , There will be 3 counseling sections .You have to secure good enough mark to get admission.

Likes

I liked the way they treated us with dignity and justice... They give respect
The scholarship is very useful for the book charges
They give first preference for us while waiting in clinical site

Dislikes

The road construction was very bad while traveling
The sports wise the college is somewhat ok only not upto the level
Case coming is very less compared to other college

Colleges i applied for is MMC and Stanley.. I got less marks in the NEET 2021 THEN I chose the Kanyakumari Government Medical college so I move on to this I got rejection from the other college such as MMC and Stanley.. Because of my low marks in NEET I need to write NEET and get mark this is the for to enter I got 541

1st of all I don't want to tell about the 1st impression of my college. Once you visit it you will feel like you are in some 100 acre park. There are thatusch of tress.
You have every basic needs around the college and people to give more respects when you say you are a medico.
The faculties here are very much expertised and most of them are in higher posts like Ex IMA president, IPA president, etc.

Dislikes

The things i disliked was mainly the language, it will take time for you to adapt to the local language for sure
Next being the weather, you can't able to judge the weather it can be rain anytime so it will be difficult to dry you clothes
Next the roads around the college and roads in the area around the college which will be very narrow and will not be in good condition. The roads in tha college will be as new.

Life as a medico in KGMCH

Likes

The campus is vast and has a lot of greenery. So the environment is really peaceful and there is a separate court for volleyball and badminton and a ground for cricket, football and athletics
The hostel rooms are pretty good with the first years having a separate hostel with good infrastructure
The inpatient and outpatient flow is pretty good and the students get to see a good number of cases throughout the year

Dislikes

The food in the boys hostel mess is not up to the mark and is not worth the amount of fees paid
There is not much exposure to intercollege events as only intracollege cultural, academic and sports events are given priority
The road is not laid properly inside the hospital and college premises

Admission:

Admission is solely based on NEET scores as it is a government medical college. A state rank of around 900-1000 will get you a seat in this college. There are seats reserved for All India Quota and those seats are filled by a separate all India quota counseling. There is a 7.5 percent reservation quota for government school students, along with the usual reservations for OBC, SC and ST. On choosing this college during counseling, you'll be allotted a date when you'll have to come to the campus for the admission process

Really nice campus and educational set-up.

Likes

The college campus is greener and then shop availability nearby is good
The play ground is really huge and good. We can play football,cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton etc.. Gym is also there.
Every department and faculty block is nearby hostel. So no need to rush

Dislikes

A vehicle is must for your internship period as you have to rush here and there
The beach is nearly 45 minutes away from the college
The class schedule is really tight and free times are negligible

Admission:

The admission to this medical college is based on your NEET score .When I joined this college the neet cut off was 595 marks for general category but now the cut off increased due to the easy neet exam pattern after the NTA took it over. You can get this college if your all India rank is under 9000. I joined this college using all India quata which is 15% of all the seats available. The thing I didn't like about the admission was that the all India quata students need to go to Chennai in order to verify their documents.

Review on KGMC, Asaripallam

Admission:

To talk about the good things * it has a serene atmosphere with more greens everywhere *The eco-friendly ambience gives a peaceful place to learn. Plastics are banned inside the college premises * the climate in that area is so pleasing. *water and hostel food are excellent. The hostel is always kept clean. There are three sharing and single sharing rooms too. It depends on the preference *academic wise, the professors are so dedicated. Classes will be made interactive. Teaching is really good. *library is excellent with versatile books in it. *practical knowledge is completely acquired in all the subjects. More importance is given to that. * eco-friendly park is present *the hospital is clean To talk about the negatives is very less and negligible. *it is a developing area. That might be a concern The admission process usually occurs by the time counselling gets over. College starts by August 1. I preferred this college because of the good reviews about teaching and peaceful ambience.

Life as a medico at KGMC

Admission:

By searching about engineering colleges in tamil Nadu. This college was good in teaching and for placements getting good companies. More over less fee comparing to other colleges in tamil Nadu. Many colleges were to be certified as university but this was special for to it was a bhramin college.
