The college offers promising placement and job opportunities post-graduation as medical officers, specialists, super specialists, community medicine doctors, and general practitioners. The academic course spans four and a half years, followed by a one-year mandatory internship, which is essential for degree completion. The internship provides substantial patient exposure and clinical experience, although it is described as heavily exhausting.
The stipend during this period is nominal, at Rs 2,000 per month, with an additional rural bond year offering a Rs 25,000 stipend. Despite the lack of research and development opportunities, the course ensures employability in hospital jobs nationwide due to its comprehensive training. Previous batches initially did not receive a stipend, but following protests, a nominal stipend was introduced.
The college also provides a Rs 5,000 stipend for some internships.
