Faculty

The faculty members are helpful in studies as well as various other activities . Most teachers are M.Tech and pursuing their Ph.D. The overall teaching quality is excellent. The Ph.D. teachers are generally found on higher posts like hod and above posts. Overall teaching quality is fine.

Placement Experience

Placements in this college are good, all depends upon students how they use their skills in placements. We have to wear formals during the placements and interviews taken by the hospitals. Internships are offered more than jobs.

Placement Experience

The internship was in the same college (Silchar medical College and hospital). Roles were given according to a number of days. After completion we had to take the sign of every department. The final degree was given from Guwahati (main University). We had to work for about 12- 14 hrs per day daily. Stipend was Rs. 17000. Experience was good in the college. After internship we were placed in a rural health center for 1 year. Almost all the students who passed out from this college landed in public or private jobs mostly in academic institutions.

Admission

As there were only 2 seats in my course so it was bit difficult to get into it. Being a Govt. college everyone wants the admission. But somehow I cleared the exam. I took the application forms from the college campus on payment of the prescribed amount of application fee. We are required to fill the application form with the details followed by submission at the college?s address. There was a reservation viz. 85% state quota, 15% all India quota. You need to get into the merit in the qualifying exam
