Ans. The course and the faculty are the two main reasons why this is an excellent college for B-Tech. The course is extremely well-designed and jam-packed with useful information. This gives them an advantage over other institutes. The faculty is also outstanding. They are among the best teachers I have encountered, and this pattern holds true across all streams. The management is strict and imposes strict rules and regulations, but are they correct in doing so? They want a 75% acceptance rate, which is not very high. And believe me, the lectures are so interesting that most of the students in my batch, including myself, attend at least 90% of the time. Attend the lectures, and you won't have to spend any extra time studying. Anyway, returning to the main topic, yes, this is a good college B-tech program, as well as many other courses.Read more

Ans. Having friends studying in both colleges makes me able to answer your question. Both colleges have convincing reasons and have been in existence for the longest time.  Christ University offers excellent engineering programs and a highly qualified faculty. They also have an excellent campus. However, based on their online reputation, students are dissatisfied with the programs.  Presidency University, Bangalore, has an advantage in this regard. The former students have nothing but positive things to say about the faculty. They are cooperative and helpful. The curriculum is always completed on time, giving students enough time to prepare for exams and assignments. Ans. In terms of percentile, you can surely score 99%+. There will always be a conventional topper from every batch even if everyone performs poorly in their academics. You will find many students securing a 10/10 CGPA from good institutes as they follow relative grading. If someone secures 60/150 while most of their classmates are struggling to score even 30, the professor could decide to give them an ‘A’ which is not even similar to scoring 100% marks. But, in absolute terms, no, you can’t imagine someone scoring about 95% in almost every semester they appeared as it will directly imply the college holds a very low bar for evaluation. The Presidency University, Bangalore gives marks for showing up and just for filling up the pages in exams. Thus it is not such a big problem.Read more

Ans. A friend of mine who studies at Jain University says the faculty is decent but if you are mainly looking for placements, there is no guarantee. There are quite a few IT jobs available but since Bangalore is the Silicon City of the country, you will probably not get placements in core areas. From what information was shared with me, the hostel fees and tuition fees are also quite high. Plus, admission to the university is also given directly by filling up the application form or you can even give the COMEDK, KCET exam or contact the college directly. Infrastructure-wise, the college is definitely good with five-star facilities in your hostel rooms and Bangalore city to explore. But, you have to pay for almost everything. You will see a diverse crowd in the college including a few Africans too. However, you will probably not be able to gain industry-relevant skills that might help boost your career. Ans. The full-time 4 year BTech in Aerospace Engineering degree program at Jain University has a Grade ‘A’ NAAC accreditation and has been ranked at 117 by NIRF in 2020. The course is conducted under the scope of IIAEM. Course Structure : The curriculum is well-designed and spread across 8 semesters offering a good balance of theory and practical subjects. The last two semesters also require students to submit a practical project. Faculty : Most of the faculties are alumni members from IIT’S, NAL, ISRO, and ADA. The faculty are also known to help students with internships, and placements through their industry contacts. Infrastructure : For the aerospace department, the university offers multiple practical laboratories, experimental facilities- like the subsonic wind tunnel facility and research collaborations.
