Presidency University, Bangalore Comparison

One of my friends completed his B.Tech from MVJCE Bangalore. According to him, the college management does not function properly. This creates a lot of problems for the students. 

But otherwise, MVJCE is good for engineering studies. However, the placement records are quite average. 

I studied at Jain University, and won’t personally recommend it. As for Presidency University, I would suggest you consult some seniors from there to get a clear idea.

Presidency University:

• Presidency University is known for its strict disciplinary rules and regulations that students need to adhere to. The institute has a classroom-centric approach to learning and does not offer any holidays before exams.
• Presidency University has a limited focus on extracurricular activities, and only a few students get the opportunity to participate in sports events. The fee submission process is also hectic, with only a few counters available.
• Presidency University has a mandatory attendance policy that students need to maintain, failing which they may face consequences.
• Despite these limitations, Presidency University has a decent academic background and a strong and cooperative faculty team. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various fields such as engineering, management, humanities, and law.
• However, if you are a normal-category student looking for a holistic and comprehensive education with a better balance of academics and extracurricular activities, CMR University and Christ University can be better choices.

In conclusion, choosing the right university or institute can make a significant impact on your career and personal growth. CMR University and Christ University are known for their well-rounded approach to education, whereas Presidency University may be more suited for students who can cope with strict rules and regulations.

Both, REVA University and Presidency University are new. However, on an overall scale, the former is better.  

• REVA has an excellent faculty pool. The faculty members are well-experienced and friendly. 
• The university follows a well-balanced curriculum. Emphasis is placed on hands-on learning experience. 
• It has a good placement record. During REVA University placements 2021, more than 450 recruiting companies took part in the campus drive. The highest CTC offered was INR 24 LPA. 

REVA has more than 100 student clubs and organizations. You can take part in any of these clubs, according to your interest. 

Among these, REVA University, Bangalore will be the best option. Compared to the other colleges, it has better faculty placement and facilities. 

REVA University BCA fees are INR 2.55 LPA. According to the placement highlights of  BCA, around 89% of students get placed each year with salary packages in the range of INR 3-4 LPA. Companies like Wipro, and TCS recruit from the college. BCA students sit for placement with 500+ Computer Science students, so the competition is tough. 

Presidency University offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines such as engineering, commerce, management, law, design, science, computer application, and much more. More than a hundred permanent faculty members are present in the university across all departments.

ICFAI Dehradun is an integral University of ICFAI group. The University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. in different disciplines like management, law, teaching, and science & technology.

Infrastructure:

Presidency University-

• The campus is very well equipped with all the necessary facilities such as a library, smart classrooms, medical facilities, auditorium, gym, hostel, and transport facilities, etc.
• The university's campus also incorporates a sustainable development goals center that focuses on social work, consultancy, and training.

ICFAI Dehradun-

It has a lush green campus that is spread over 25 acres at Selaqui Dehradun. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled and equipped with workshops, laboratories, faculty rooms, auditorium, seminar halls, etc.

Fees and eligibility:

Presidency University:

• Some of the popular courses offered by the university are BTech, BBA, MBA, BDes, BCA, etc.
• For BBA, BDes, BCA, and BTech students require 10+2 in order to be eligible.For BTech, the institute accepts JEE Mains scores.
• MBA admission is based on CAT scores.
• The course fee ranges from 1.5 lakhs to 3.25 lakhs.

ICFAI Dehradun:

• BALLB {Hons.}, B.Ed, B.Tech, MBA are some of the popular courses at ICFAI Dehradun.
• For BA LLB and BTech, the required eligibility is 10+2. For BTech the institute accepts ITSAT.
• MBA students need to have a valid CAT score.
• The course fees range between 1.07 lakhs to 6 lakhs for different programs.

Placements:

Presidency University-

The department of training and placement is responsible for administering placement drives for the students. Some of the top recruiters who participated in the Presidency University Bangalore placements are TVS, Tata consultancy services, Wipro, Vedanta, Byju's, Reliance, ISRO, etc.

ICFAI Dehradun-

It has successfully established powerful networks with top organizations in various sectors.

• Some of the renowned companies which have recruited students from the university include HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Decathlon Sports India, Zycus Infotech, Reliance Jio, Karvy stockbroking, and many more.
• The highest CTC offered is 10.00 LPA and the average CTC is around 4.97 LPA.
