What students say about The University of Queensland

Likes

  • I think both the education faculty and the HASS faculty at my university work very well to help you with anything you need.
  • I have heard great things about internships from other students on campus, and they have all had wonderful things to say about the experience.
  • There are career fairs held twice a year, with many multinationals visiting to recruit the best talents from all courses and specializations.
  • The best part is that they provide a free bus shuttle to commute from Brisbane to Gatton campus (Science faculty is located in Gatton).
  • You can visit the premises and choose the best one according to your needs and convenience.
  • Fees can be paid via a HECS debt, which enables students to delay payment until they are financially capable of affording it.
  • My faculty at college, which is the Health and Behavioral Sciences faculty, is, in my opinion, good.
  • The university is close to my home and is one of the best colleges in Brisbane.

Dislike

  • It is also difficult to find jobs by yourself in Australia since most of them are for PR holders or Australian citizens.
  • Other charges, such as the penalty for late payment, were also not fair at all when considering the amount of money

I wanted to study International Relations or Conflict Studies and this university provided me with both degrees. Hence, I chose Peace & Conflict Studies. Moreover, UQ ranks in the top 50 universities in the world, and the course fees were quite affordable.

At the end of year 11, I attended a young scholars program through the University of Queensland. This introduced me to many different areas of study available at the university and I had my heart set on attending it. It is one of the highest-ranked universities in Australia, therefore I wanted to work hard to be accepted and see it as an achievement. I got an OP1 and was able to make it into my course.

I applied for this university because it offered the best animal science course on this side of Australia and had international accreditation. I knew about UQ because it is a popular university for students. The university was my top 4 preferences when I applied through QTAC, I received the highest possible grade upon graduating and therefore was guaranteed to get into my course. The fees for my application were relatively small. Once I received my offer it was extremely easy to accept and the University provided clear instructions on how to set up my university account. They were also available to call.

The University of Queensland is the most prestigious university in my area and is also the only university offering languages within my course which was essential for me as I was wanting to do French. I applied for 3 different universities as there are 3 main universities in my area however the university of Queensland was my preferred one.

I opted for University of Queensland because it was suggested by my family friends as an ideal college especially since I had just come from New Zealand and I got into pharmacy there which I found to be good

Impressive reputation and is highly ranked world wide. It is also a university that a big majority of international students opt to attend, which also indicates its prestige. I also picked this university because of the clubs available as my undergrad university did not have any extracurricular activities.
