What is IPU CET 2026 Phase 3 Seat Allotment

Phase 3 of IPU CET counselling is the Sliding Round. It is open to students who accepted a seat in Phase 1 or Phase 2 by choosing Float as well as students who have not yet received any allotment but remain eligible in the counselling pool. Students who chose Float in Phase 2 are automatically considered for a better preference in Phase 3 and do not need to register again.

In the Sliding Round a student can move to a higher-ranked branch within the same college without losing the existing seat. If a better option is not available the student retains the seat from the previous round. This makes Phase 3 a low-risk round for students who want to improve their allotment without starting over.

How to Check IPU CET 2026 Phase 3 Seat Allotment

Follow these steps to view your Phase 3 allotment result on the official portal when it is released:

1. Visit ipu.admissions.nic.in and click on the Counselling or Seat Allotment section.
2. Log in with your application number and date of birth.
3. Select your CET code from the dashboard.
4. Click on the Phase 3 Seat Allotment Result link when it goes live on July 9, 2026.
5. Your allotted institute, programme and branch will appear on screen.
6. Download and print the allotment letter for use during reporting.

Seat Acceptance Options: Freeze, Float, Slide and Withdraw

After checking your Phase 3 allotment you must select one of four options within the acceptance window. Not responding within the deadline is treated as withdrawal and the allotted seat is cancelled automatically.

Students choosing Freeze, Float or Slide must pay the Rs 40,000 part academic fee to confirm their seat. Students choosing Withdraw are not required to pay; however the seat is permanently forfeited and re-entry into the process is not permitted.

How to Pay the Part Academic Fee

The IPU CET 2026 part academic fee is Rs 40,000 and must be paid online through the official portal. No offline mode — cash, demand draft or bank transfer — is accepted. The amount is adjusted against your first-semester college fee when you join and is not charged separately.

1. Log in to ipu.admissions.nic.in after selecting Freeze, Float or Slide.
2. Click on the Pay Part Academic Fee link on your dashboard.
3. Select your preferred payment mode: credit card, debit card or net banking.
4. Complete the transaction and wait for the payment confirmation page.
5. Download the fee payment receipt immediately and keep it for reporting.

The portal does not send advance reminders before the fee deadline. If the deadline passes without payment, the seat is cancelled automatically and you must wait for the stray vacancy round if you wish to continue.

How to Report to the Allotted College

Physical reporting at the allotted institution completes your IPU CET 2026 admission. Failure to report within the announced deadline forfeits the seat even if the part academic fee was paid. Reporting for Phase 3 allotments is expected around July 11, 2026.

1. Check the reporting date and time published on ipu.admissions.nic.in for Phase 3 allottees.
2. Collect all original documents and prepare self-attested photocopies well in advance.
3. Visit the admission office of your allotted college on the reporting day with your allotment letter as proof.
4. Submit the documents to the admission committee for verification.
5. Collect the provisional admission slip from the college after successful verification.
6. Deposit the remaining first-semester fee balance (total college fee minus the Rs 40,000 already paid online) as directed by the college.

Some colleges ask students to fill a separate college registration form on the day of reporting. Reach the campus early to avoid queues and allow time for document processing.
