IPU CET 2026 Phase 3 Counselling: How to Register, Fill Choices and Pay Fees

IPU CET 2026 Phase 3 (Sliding Round) seat allotment is out at ipu.admissions.nic.in; students who received an upgraded seat must pay the institute admission fee by July 13, 2026, and report to their allotted institute from July 14.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has released the Phase 3 allotment under its centralised online counselling for the 2026-27 academic session. The Sliding Round allows students who held a seat from Round 1 or Round 2 and opted for Float to move to a more preferred programme or college if a vacancy is available. Students who chose Freeze at an earlier stage are not eligible for this round. No fresh registration is required — existing portal credentials work throughout Phase 3.

• Students who receive no upgrade retain their existing Round 1 or Round 2 seat automatically.

Who Is Eligible for Phase 3 Counselling

Phase 3, also called the Sliding Round, is open only to students who already hold a seat from Round 1 or Round 2 and had selected the Float option when accepting it. Students who chose Freeze have confirmed their existing allotment permanently and are not part of this round. Fresh applicants cannot register for Phase 3.

If no higher-preference vacancy matches your choices, your existing seat from Round 1 or Round 2 remains unchanged. Participating in the Sliding Round carries no risk of losing your current allotment.

How to Log In and Access Phase 3

Students who selected Float do not need a new registration. Use the same login credentials from Round 1 or Round 2 to access the GGSIPU portal and complete Phase 3 steps:

1. Open ipu.admissions.nic.in on a browser.
2. Click Login and enter your Application Number and Password.
3. Your dashboard will display your current allotment. Confirm the status reads Float — a Freeze status means you are not eligible for Phase 3.
4. To fill or modify choices (July 6–8 only), click Choice Filling / Modify Choices.
5. After July 9, log in and check your Phase 3 allotment under the Seat Allotment Letter section.

How to Fill and Lock Choices

The choice editing window for Phase 3 was open from July 6 to July 8, 2026. The system evaluates preferences in order and upgrades a student only to a programme ranked higher than their current allotment. Steps to fill choices correctly:

1. Log in and click Choice Filling / Modify Choices from your dashboard.
2. Search for programme-institute combinations by code or name and add them to your list.
3. Use the rank buttons to place your most preferred option at the top.
4. Add at least 15–20 choices across multiple institutes to maximise upgrade chances.
5. Click Save after every session to avoid losing changes before the deadline.
6. When finalised, click Lock / Submit Choices before July 8, 2026 midnight.
7. Download the choice locking confirmation slip as proof of submission.

Choices can be revised multiple times before the deadline. Once locked, no further edits are permitted.

How to Pay Fees After Phase 3 Allotment

The Phase 3 allotment result was published on July 9, 2026. Students who received an upgraded seat must pay institute-level fees by July 13, 2026. Non-payment within this window leads to cancellation of the upgraded allotment and the seat moves to the Spot Round.

GGSIPU has waived the counselling participation fee for 2026-27. Fees payable after allotment are collected directly by the allotted institute:

1. Log in to ipu.admissions.nic.in and open your Phase 3 allotment letter.
2. Click Accept Seat and Pay Fee.
3. Choose a payment mode — debit card, credit card, or net banking.
4. Complete the transaction and immediately download the fee payment receipt.
5. Retain the receipt — you must submit it at the time of physical reporting.
