What Is the Phase 2 Sliding Round?

Eligibility for IPU CET 2026 Phase 2 Sliding Round

To participate in the Phase 2 Sliding Round, students must meet all of the following conditions:

• Must have been allotted a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 of GGSIPU centralized counselling.
• Must have paid the seat acceptance fee and completed document verification in the previous round.
• Must not have withdrawn from the counselling process voluntarily.
• For B.Tech: must hold a valid JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 score and meet GGSIPU programme-specific eligibility (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics in Class 12 with minimum required marks).
• Must fulfil the eligibility criteria of the specific programme they wish to upgrade to.

Students who were not allotted any seat in earlier rounds are not eligible for the Sliding Round. Such students may be considered in the Spot Round, if conducted after July 20, 2026.

How to Register for IPU CET 2026 Phase 2 Sliding Round

The Phase 2 Sliding Round registration involves modifying or re-ordering college and programme choices on the official counselling portal. The window is open July 6–8, 2026. Follow these steps:

1. Visit the official GGSIPU admission portal at ipu.admissions.nic.in.
2. Log in using your registered application number and password from your earlier counselling registration.
3. Click on the Choice Filling / Modify Choices option on your dashboard.
4. Review your existing choice list. Add any new programme-college combinations you want to consider for the upgrade.
5. Rearrange choices so that your most preferred programme and college appears at the top of the list.
6. Click Submit / Lock Choices before the July 8, 2026 deadline. Choices cannot be changed after locking.
7. Save or print a copy of the submitted choices as confirmation of participation.
8. Check the allotment result on July 9, 2026 and complete fee payment by July 12, 2026 if upgraded.
9. Report to the allotted institute with original documents between July 14–17, 2026.

Important: Do not modify choices if you are fully satisfied with your current allotment. Submitting new choices means the system will attempt to upgrade your seat. If no higher preference is available, your Round 2 seat is retained.
